Friends, I am thrilled to share that the University of Waterloo’s Arts and Letters has featured my research, in the article, "Shaping AI: Why the humanities matter in tech innovation." The work we do in the Arts, broadly, is not just about creativity—it is about shaping the future of technology and its impact on society. The Arts is inclusive of such departments and study spaces like Philosophy, Political Science, Language & Literature, Psychology, Sociology and Legal Studies, Spanish and Latin American Studies. These all represent other conversations about our current Technologies, that too needs to be expressed, critically. The intersection of art and technology is also where innovation happens, and I am proud to be part of a department that is leading critical conversations on these pressing issues. From digital ethics to AI's role in society, the arts have a crucial voice in these debates. But none of this would be possible without the support of our incredible community—alumni, donors, and friends—whose generosity amplifies the work that we do. I’m immensely grateful for the support that has allowed me to pursue this important research, and I encourage you to consider giving back to ensure that these conversations continue to thrive. 🔗 Read the full piece and learn more about how you can support the Arts Department also accessible on this link. https://lnkd.in/gvtgxSdp University of WaterlooUniversity of Waterloo Faculty of Arts University of Waterloo Alumni #AI #AIEthics #universityofwaterloo #aiforgood
