Here at CERAWeek, a major theme emerging is people and capability. The #energy sector needs skilled workers, including electricians, welders, and transmission linemen, to support the growing demand for infrastructure. The skills gap is real, and addressing it is essential for scaling energy solutions. At the same time, #AI is transforming how work gets done. Companies are realizing that successful AI adoption depends on more than just the technology. It requires change management and rethinking workflows so employees can adapt and organizations can integrate AI into their operations in a way that enhances productivity. The conversations here have been insightful, and I am excited for what is ahead. How do you see AI shaping the future of work in energy? #KPMGEnergy #CERAWeek

I am delighted to share my views on the topic "Scaling Nuclear Power" in the March 2025 issue of Power Line Magazine alongwith Anish De. Many thanks to Anish for his constant support and guidance on this subject. We believe that the Indian Government's target of 100 GW of nuclear power plant installations by 2047 is ambitious. A comprehensive array of holistic measures, including regulatory amendments, the adoption of Generation IV SMR technologies, the development of manufacturing and export ecosystems, and skill enhancement initiatives, can facilitate the rapid deployment of clean and reliable baseload nuclear power plants across India. I look forward to hearing your opinions in the comments section. Disclaimer: Views are personal. The utilities industry is facing a level of demand unlike anything before. This includes balancing the #energy needs of data centers, vehicle electrification, and new generation technologies while ensuring power remains reliable and affordable. As my colleague Bradley Stansberry highlights, these challenges are further complicated by the push for renewable energy, making operational efficiency more critical than ever. By improving customer engagement, optimizing workforce deployment, and streamlining back-office operations, utilities can navigate these complexities with greater agility. Watch Bradley’s full insights to learn more! #KPMGEnergy #DataCenters
Transitions to the cloud, electrification of the economy, data center usage, new energy generation technologies – the demands on utilities are at an all-time high. This is why I am so excited about KPMG’s alliance with SAP, which is helping utilities drive efficiencies that will help them ultimately continue to provide reliable, affordable energy to their customers.
