Think all acoustic panels behave the same when it comes to fire safety, regardless of their colour, thickness, or density? Think again. Most manufacturers test only one colour and thickness for their fire certificate – typically the one that performs best. This means that the product you specify may not meet the same standards as the one that has been tested. Even with the same fire-retardant technology in all our 72 ARCHISONIC® Felt product variants we learned that the colour and thickness significantly influences the fire performance. While 82% of our ARCHISONIC® Felt colours achieved the highest classification B–s1, d0, 18% met the second-highest standard B–s2, d0.
