Spent a wonderful week at the Harvard University Harvard Kennedy School. Through this week, I got to polish my skills as a leader, and got to learn more about leadership and social innovation. Already feeling inspired by an amazing Faculty at the Harvard Kennedy School, the leaders and change makers I spent a wonderful time with, Anthony Foxx Claude Grunitzky and peers with whom I got to share invaluable lessons and experiences. During my time at Harvard, I was reminded of the Greek myth of Prometheus, who revealed to humanity the secret of making fire. Listening to the various faculty members and absorbing the wealth of knowledge they shared, I felt as though we were being entrusted with our own metaphorical fire, a very powerful resource whose ultimate impact largely depends on the values of its steward, the appreciation of the resource itself, and the manner of its application. This knowledge, when guided by integrity and purpose, holds immense potential to drive meaningful social transformation. As I return to an increasingly uncertain world, I remain inspired by these words from Martin Luther King Jr, "we must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” I look forward to bringing some these valuable lessons back into my work. Special thanks to the World Economic Forum Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship Motsepe Foundation BarefootLaw and the Harvard Kennedy School Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education for making this happen. Special thanks again, to family, individuals, institutions and strangers that have guided my leadership journey thus far. Onwards and Upwards ! As a team, we have always believed in the power of collective action to unlock exponential change. Transformative shifts don’t happen in isolation; they emerge when people come together, driven by a shared purpose. Like anything meaningful, the pathway of collective action is not devoid of challenges and dilemmas. Who'd know this better than our beautiful community of folks at ShikshaLokam, Mantra4Change, Involve, Sanjhi Sikhiya, Samarthya, Vidhya Vidhai Foundation, EduWeave Foundation, Pravah, ComMutiny - The Youth Collective, Shiksharth, Bharat Dekho and many more...!! But keeping our eyes on the purpose and remaining problem-focused helps us understand why collaboration is indispensable. That is why this moment is truly special for us. We've been proud and grateful to be a part of the wonderful Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship community, and now, our work with Shikshagraha is being celebrated by the Foundation! This recognition is not just about us - it belongs to every partner, every leader, educator, and changemaker who believes in the power of communities to shape their own futures. #agency Here’s to collective action, shared leadership, and the relentless pursuit of educational equity! #Shikshagraha #CollectiveAction #Leadership #EducationEquity The Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI) | Centre for Exponential Change Santosh More , Neeraj Doddamane , Vernon Noel Noronha , Shwetha Kamath , Luv Kumar , Rucha Pande , Simranpreet Singh Oberoi , Divanshu Kumar , Dr. Pratibha Narayanan , Regila Marinus , Amita Kaushik
💬 What if social innovation wasn’t just about a single organization scaling impact, but about entire ecosystems transforming together? That’s the power of collective social innovation: a model where cross-sector networks solve challenges no organization can tackle alone. 🔹 In Kenya, the Financing Alliance for Health has mobilized $660 million for community health workers. 🔹 In India, Shikshagraha is working toward improving 1 million public schools, impacting 150 million students. 🔹 In Germany, ProjectTogether engaged 28,361 people in 48 hours to co-create pandemic solutions. The Future is Collective explores these stories and more. Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/eGAb6KSB #SocialInnovation #CollectiveImpact #SystemsChange
