🎬 And... action! 🎬 📽 Our colleagues in #Rotterdam are working on a company movie for COSCO SHIPPING Lines Netherlands and their local agency Cross-Ocean. We look forward to seeing the final results! 👏🏻 On Wednesday some colleagues got the chance to tag along on one of the filming days, shooting video at the container #depot, local #warehouse and Rotterdam office. 👉 Number of the week: 200,000! Phase I of the International Container Hub Port Expansion project in Yangpu area is on the way. 🧱 During this first phase the port has been commissioned with 8 #quay cranes handled to satisfy the #loading and unloading needs of 200,000 ton #container vessels. The 8 cranes each have a reach of 70 meters wide and 52 meters of ground lifting height. 🏗 🏗 🏗 🏗 🏗 🏗 🏗 🏗 When putting down the cranes it is crucial that the cranes are put in the right position and they are optimized against wind #resistance, lightning #protection, vibration stress and fire protection - all to ensure the #safety and efficiency of the crane #operations. 🦺 After this round of commissioning the cranes can be put into operation. 💪🏻

Celebrating Ramadan Iftar: A gathering of unity and tradition in Egypt This is how our colleagues from our offices in Port Said, Damietta and Alexandria in #Egypt came together for a heartfelt Iftar, embodying the true spirit of this holy month: 🌅 As the call to prayer echoed and the sun set, we broke our fast with dates and water, sharing not just a meal but a moment of #gratitude and connection. 🙏🎁🤗 In Egypt, #Ramadan is a time of deep spirituality, generosity and togetherness. The Iftar table was a reflection of our rich traditions - filled with molokhia, roasted lamb, and the ever-present kunafa and qatayef 🍰. 🏮 The glowing lanterns (fawanees) and the aroma of traditional dishes reminded us of the warmth and joy that define Ramadan in Egypt. 👨👩👧👦 But this gathering was about more than food. It was about coming together as one big #family. Colleagues from different offices and backgrounds shared stories️, laughter and prayers, bridging gaps and strengthening bonds. 🤝 Ramadan teaches us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the blessings of community, and this Iftar was a beautiful reminder of that. 🌍💖 In a world that often feels divided, moments like these remind us of the power of unity. Ramadan Kareem to all! May this holy month bring us closer to our faith, our traditions, and to each other.

🌿 A step towards sustainability 🌿 🍃 COSCO Shipping's subsidiary, COSCO Jordan in Qingdao, showcases its commitment to #environmental #protection. The factory, recognized as a National Green Factory, has implemented significant #green initiatives: 🔹 The new RTO system processes 30,000 cubic meters of exhaust gases per hour, achieving a 99.5% purification #efficiency, reducing VOC emissions by 3.6 tons annually. 🔹 The photovoltaic carport, with a capacity of 357kWp, generates 438,000 kWh annually, covering 10% of the plant's #electricity needs and reducing CO2 emissions by 292 tons. These efforts highlight COSCO Shipping's dedication to #sustainability and environmental stewardship. Let's celebrate this green #journey and look forward to more eco-friendly innovations! 🌍💚

🌼🌷 Spring is here! So it's time for agricultural shipments. 🌼🌷 🌻 With spring ploughing time in full swing, we are here to ensure a stable supply chain of #agricultural #materials. Jinzhou in the Northeast of #China is a prime #distribution hub for grain and fertilizers, providing fast #shipment from the port of Dalian. For good results, demand inventory, #resource allocation and early #transportation was implemented for a smooth cargo flow. 🚛 In total more than 1,140 tons of fertilizer have been transported to agricultural #production areas near Dalian in 660 containers. A boat on a boat?!? 🤔 🛳 In the port of Nantong, we completed the loading of a small anchor #boat on board our special cargo #vessel. The anchor boat is on its way to #Africa for a local port construction #project. 🤝🏻 In just one day we assembled diving #operations, port operations and lashing operations for a smooth loading. Thanks to the pre-ship meeting our lashing team and other parties were fully informed on the plan of #action to get the anchor boat on board.
