We are proud to have had our COO, Inge Hofkens, represent Aurubis at the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK). 🇮🇳 Organized by the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (Deutsche Auslandshandelskammern (AHK) in Asia-Pacific), the APK, was hosted by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce from 24th to 26th October in New Delhi. 🎤 On Saturday, Inge particpated in the panel discussion "Rude Awakening in Raw Materials: Dependencies and the Quest to Diversify." together with Rowena Smith and Rohit Pathak, tackling the critical need for raw material resilience, highlighting how geopolitical tensions and global dependencies push us to seek sustainable solutions. 🗨️ Reflecting on Aurubis' role, Inge shared: "As we work to secure essential raw materials like copper, investing in a circular economy isn’t just a priority – it's a necessity. By driving innovation in recycling and sustainable production, we can reduce dependencies and meet future demand responsibly." Die Aurubis AG ist ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Nichteisenmetallen und einer der größten Kupferrecycler der Welt. It was a pleasure connecting with esteemed business partners, industry leaders, and distinguished guests. 🌱 Martin Sjoberg, our Senior Vice President Commercial, kicked off the event by reaffirming Aurubis’ commitment to sustainability. He emphasized our promise of "Tomorrow Metals", showcasing metals sourced and produced under state-of-the-art sustainability standards.
