As we approach the last quartile of 2024, I am proud to share some important updates on our ongoing initiatives at CharIN, which continue to shape the future of e-mobility: 🌐 Expanding Our Global Reach in LATAM: CharIN has forged two key partnerships in Latin America. In Mexico, we are collaborating with the Asociación Mexicana de Impulso al Vehículo Eléctrico (AMIVE) to advance EV infrastructure through ISO 15118 standards and technical training, paving the way for rapid EV adoption. In Brazil, our partnership with the Plataforma Nacional de Mobilidade Elétrica (PNME) unites over 30 institutions from government, industry, academia, and civil society to enhance public policies, project financing, and R&D for the e-mobility ecosystem. ⚓ Strengthening Maritime E-Mobility: CharIN is making significant progress with our collaboration with the International Electric Marine Association (IEMA), focusing on innovative solutions to support the decarbonization of the marine industry. This is a major achievement for CharIN as we drive forward the transition to zero-emission maritime transportation. 📝 Contributions to Regulatory Standards: CharIN remains at the forefront of regulatory discussions, advocating for important standards like CCS, MCS and NACS. We also emphasize the importance of the Plug & Charge feature and streamlined testing procedures to improve EV charging solutions. We are the leading global association with over 300 members dedicated to promote interoperability based on the Combined Charging System (CCS) Megawatt Charging System (MCS) as the global standard for charging vehicles of all kinds. The purpose of the CharIN association is the worldwide promotion and support of the Combined Charging System (CCS) and Megawatt Charging System (MCS). In this connection the limits drawn by antitrust laws are to be observed by all members. The three primary aims are: 1. To develop and establish the Combined Charging System (CCS) as the standard for charging battery-powered electric vehicles of all kinds 2. To draw up requirements for the evolution of charging-related standards and develop a certification system for use by manufacturers implementing the CCS in their products 3. To promote the CCS standard worldwide --- What makes the Combined Charging System (CCS) and the CharIN association so unique? The answer is simple: CCS is currently the world’s only charging system that covers all charging scenarios with a single product. Drivers of any type of electric vehicle can choose between normal and fast charging as well as AC (single-phase up to three-phase) and DC (up to high speed 200 kW at public charging stations) – and they only need a single system for all these options. The CCS also has the advantage of being accepted and supported by a significant number of companies from different industries. The CharIN association is unique, as it is comprised of multiple experts across a variety of industries who have worked together as a team to make this breakthrough possible. The European Union's official charging solution, which is based on the CCS international standards, is effective now and will be implemented in full by 2017 at the latest. Any company can join the association and work with the other members on further developments for the CCS.

CharIN Brazil Highlights Activities: Advancing EV Charging Infrastructure in LATAM In August, CharIN in Brazil made significant strides in the e-mobility sector through two major events. At @C-MOVE Minas Gerais, CharIN's Managing Director, Tatiana Araujo, moderated a panel on expanding Brazil’s EV charging network. The discussion, featuring Raízen Power, CEMIG, Keysight Technologies, and Livoltek Brasil, tackled technological, economic, and regulatory challenges, stressing the importance of a collaborative approach to infrastructure development. At Power2Drive South America in São Paulo, CharIN participated in a panel on smart EV charging solutions. Topics included advancements in smart charging technologies, variable pricing, and standardized protocols, with insights from ELETRICUS, Intelbrasás, and Sanches Consultoria Empresarial.
