𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔: Railway projects all over the world 🚂 Exactly 121 years ago, on 28 October 1903, a railcar from the Research Association for Electric High-Speed Railways shot across the German countryside close to Berlin at 210 km/h on a test track. On board was our then-CEO, Arthur Gwinner. Deutsche Bank was one of the main financial sponsors of these high-speed test runs. We have been investing in the construction of rail networks since the 1880s. From the Northern Pacific Railroad, which connected Lake Superior with Vancouver Bay, and the Ottoman Empire’s Anatolian and Baghdad Railways, to other lines in Brazil, East Africa and China, our support for rail projects stretches across the globe. In 1897, together with Siemens, we co-founded the Berlin elevated and underground railway - today the largest suburban and subway network in Germany. 📷 In the photos you can see: the completion of the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1883, the reception of the German Emperor at Hereke station in Turkey in 1898, the Hallesches Tor underground station in Berlin, completed in 1902, and a railcar from the Research Association for Electric High-Speed Railways along with the corresponding historical rail networks. #TimelessTreasures #History #DeutscheBank #Finance 🕰️ 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘯𝘢𝘱𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘣𝘺𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 – 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘺 𝘋𝘦𝘶𝘵𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘬’𝘴 𝘏𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘦.
