ib vogt and Corning Inc. sign vPPA for 88.78 MWp in Spain! We’re thrilled to announce that ib vogt has signed a virtual Power Purchase Agreement (vPPA) with Corning Incorporated for 88.78 MWp capacity at our Pato solar farm in Segovia, Spain. A big thanks to Corning Inc. for their cooperation and to our advisors, Pinsent Mason and World Kinect. Together, we're driving Spain's energy transition and achieving sustainability goals. 🌍 Our Commitment to a Net Zero Future 🌍 As a continuation of our look into ib vogt's most recent Sustainability report, we're focusing on our Net Zero commitment. At ib vogt, our commitment to Net Zero is more than just a goal—it's at the core of everything we do. Through our projects, we're actively contributing to a low-carbon economy, with quantifiable benefits that showcase the impact of our work. In 2023, we made significant strides: • 28 branches are now tracking data, an 8-branch increase from 2022. • We've expanded our TravelPerk/GreenPerk platform to 14 branches, ensuring energy-efficient business travel. • We achieved a 64% reduction in emissions from business travel by updating our travel policy. Our focus on accurate data and sustainable practices, including offsetting unavoidable emissions, keeps us on track to meet the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) standards. But our journey doesn't stop there. We're committed to ongoing collaboration, reducing our carbon footprint, and leading by example in the renewable energy sector. ib vogt’s Sustainability effort in numbers for 2023 Since ib vogt’s first Sustainability Report last year, we have been hard at work to play our part in the energy transition by recognising the connection between environmental, social, and economic factors that contribute to a better world for future generations. This is why we strive to operate in a manner that fosters holistic sustainability. As a continuation of our announcement for our Sustainability Report, we will continue to offer a deep dive into the content it contains and the different ways we're working on sustainability. 🌞 Exciting meeting at the Garnacha Solar Farm! 🌞 We're thrilled to announce a milestone meeting between the ib vogt and Google teams at the Garnacha solar farm. Garnacha is a 149 MWp solar project located in the province of Zamora in Spain. Together the two teams toured the site location and discussed the layout of the site, technology used, what kind of monitoring tools are being implemented, and further development details. Together, we're taking significant steps toward powering the energy transition and creating a sustainable future. Garnacha stands as a testament to what we can achieve when leading innovators join forces for a greener tomorrow. June 21st is European Solar Day, and just so happens to align with the final day of Intersolar, one of the largest solar trade fairs in the solar energy industry. ib vogt's Director of Operations and Maintenance Nikolaos Mandrochalos talks a little about O&M!: Operations and Maintenace (O&M) are a core part of the work being done at ib vogt as a large-scale photovoltaic utilities development platform. O&M involves a range of activities to ensure that our solar power plants run efficiently, reliably, and safely. This includes monitoring and controlling the systems that operate our solar plants, regular inspections and cleaning, and performing all necessary repairs and replacements. When done correctly, a plant’s electricity generation is maximised and the lifespan of the equipment extended. We also ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, which is essential for the continued growth and success of ib vogt, and more generally, the solar power industry. ib vogt aims to have 50 projects running total by the end of 2024 with an approximate capacity of 1,370 MWp cumulatively. In 2024, we will take over 11 new projects in the solar energy sector, with a total capacity of 538 MWp. 4 of these projects are already in the project acceptance certificate (PAC) stage, generating power and revenue. This is a huge achievement for ib vogt and our talented employees, who work hard to deliver clean and sustainable energy solutions for our customers and communities.
