The Gender Health Gap: Why the Industry Must Act Now ▶️ https://lnkd.in/dtF35MYr Women’s health affects healthcare, sports, and the economy—yet the Gender Health Gap remains significant. From misdiagnosed heart attacks to delayed ADHD detection and overlooked needs in elite sports, women face systemic disadvantages. They wait years longer for diagnoses, while AI-driven healthcare risks reinforcing male-biased data. In sports, women and girls are still less active than men, a disparity unchanged for decades. Organizations like World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) are calling on the industry to take action. At the same time, Femtech innovations in menstrual health, menopause, and training methods offer solutions—but investment barriers and data biases slow progress. For brands, addressing women’s health isn’t just ethical—it’s a business necessity. Diverse leadership teams drive greater innovation and profitability, and supporting female health boosts workplace performance. What is your brand doing to help close the Gender Health Gap? Let’s drive meaningful change together. World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) Metluma Georgie Drury Flo Health Inc. The Future of Sustainable EU-Compliant Supply Chain Management ➡️ https://lnkd.in/de-8cp5r As the new EU legislation on supply chain due diligence came into effect in 2024, the sports industry is undergoing monumental changes. These laws provide for greater transparency and accountability for companies, not only in their own production process, but also enjoining them to take responsibility for their entire supply chain. Although the larger companies are the first ones to feel the impact, by 2027, all companies, regardless of their size, will have to comply. The way into this will be through transparency built by data, and brands like Patagonia and VAUDE have already set the pace by not only keeping track of detailed supply chains but also building long-term relationships with their suppliers. It is challenging, but collaboration with smart, data-empowered decisions is indispensable in the process of building sustainable, EU-compliant supply chains. How does your company prepare for the coming changes in supply chain transparency and sustainability? Gender Health Gap: A Call for Equality and Awareness ▶️ https://lnkd.in/dUWrveV8 Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate all the inspiring women who are driving change in the sports and health sectors. Your impact shapes the future of sports for all – thank you for accelerating sports! 62% of women worldwide feel underserved by the healthcare system. Research and diagnostics often rely on male body data, leading to later diagnoses and different treatment approaches for women. This gender health gap is also visible in sports and outdoor industries—impacting training plans, injury prevention, and performance benchmarks. Wellbeing, be it mental or physical, is gradually becoming the number one priority for the industry. It plays a role in the performance and quality of living, as well as consumer decision-making. The demand for holistic approaches to movement, recovery, and prevention is growing. ISPO Munich 2024 highlighted these topics in talks, panels, and discussions with athletes, health experts, and industry professionals. ISPO Munich 2025 will take it further by introducing a dedicated Health & Wellbeing area, offering space for exchange, innovation, and new solutions. #ISPO #acceleratingsports #sportsbusiness #health #wellbeing #sportstech Malaika Mihambo Emma P. Julian Nagelsmann gives us a look behind the scenes: How do you lead a team under constant pressure? Why do trust, clear words and flexibility often count more than rigid plans? His learnings from professional soccer provide exciting impulses - also for all those who lead off the pitch.
