The biggest current managerial challenge is boosting white-collar productivity. With the rapid evolution of work, technology, and business environments, the spotlight is firmly on the efficiency of office-based roles that rely on mental and intellectual work. This challenge is both significant and complex. But what are the key drivers behind it? Culture is important: 83% of DAX CEOs are pursuing a high-performance culture to achieve their business goals. Strategic leadership excellence, teamwork excellence and performance management excellence are the three areas of action that executives should tackle first. #Productivity #WhiteCollar #AI #HybridWork #Management #FutureOfWork

Procurement in large companies is undergoing a process of change. In the context of major transformations, global crises, and scarce raw materials, the sector needs to redefine itself. Porsche Consulting conducted an interview, in which Karsten Schnake, Škoda Auto board member for procurement, shares his insights on how the function must evolve to meet future challenges. In the future, procurement will no longer be primarily about optimizing costs. Instead, innovation, securing the supply chain, and strategic partnerships will come to the fore. "Procurement is the connector between our external partners and our buyers, consumers, and internal customers within the company's supply chain," says Schnake. "We have to be the ones who identify innovation potential together with our partners and make it tangible for the company," demands the manager. #Procurement #SupplyChain #StrategicSourcing #Sustainability #SupplyChainManagement

Meet Marc-Philip Hartung (Wagner), Manager in the Berlin Office at Porsche Consulting. As part of the Industrial Goods – Energy team he is responsible for the successful execution of projects for our clients in the energy industry in Germany and Europe. ➡️ Marc, what was your path to Porsche Consulting? After working as a Consultant in the energy industry for more than 5 years, I was looking for a team that aimed to accelerate the energy transition beyond PowerPoint slides. With Porsche Consulting, I found a team that has the ability to make fast and feasible changes – especially with large-scale industrial infrastructures. ➡️ What do you most enjoy about your work at Porsche Consulting? I enjoy the speed with which everyone moves at Porsche Consulting. With almost 1,000 smart and ambitious colleagues, you have the perfect environment to develop and deliver very fast. ➡️ How would you summarize your time so far at Porsche Consulting in 3 words? 💪🏼 Ambitions – to deliver great projects, but also for personal development 🚀 Speed – in our way of working, but occasionally also on the racetrack ☀️ Fun – also at times of peak workloads ➡️ What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Outside work I enjoy challenging myself with sport. In 2025, I am looking forward to my next annual marathon, as well as my first half-Ironman triathlon. ➡️ What advice do you have for finding a work-life balance? Deliver good results. This will provide you with the flexibility to better balance work and private life. For me, this means regular integration of sport. Especially during stressful projects. #IndustrialGoods #Team #Energy #Future #Consulting

Many reporting-obligated companies are preparing to publish their business and sustainability reports. 🌱 Investors, the capital market, and companies are all keenly watching to see who will release a CSRD-compliant report. It is clear that the CSRD has created a significant challenge across companies in many ways, integrating sustainability more deeply into financial reporting. The high interpretation leeway for KPIs as well as lack of methodologies and calculation bases have limited the goal of increasing the comparability of business and sustainability reports. Porsche Consulting sees significant advantages emerging for companies in the coming years due to the integration of sustainability and finance: ⚙️ Automation of Reporting: AI offers companies enormous potential to make reporting more efficient, use resources more effectively, and improve ESG data management. 📊 Standardization of ESG Metrics: Uniform calculation of KPIs, such as biodiversity or gender pay gaps, will significantly improve comparability and increase relevance. 🏢 Strengthening the Sustainability Organization: The integration with "Finance" provides sustainability with an excellent platform to be recognized at board level and considered in strategic decisions. 🔎 Deepening the Overall Corporate View: Large corporations must also report for their subsidiaries. This will increase the transparency of ESG data for the first time and strengthen collaboration. 🌳 Establishment of an ESG Steering Model: The CSRD requires the assessment of risks in the area of "climate resilience." Managing ESG risks within risk management is becoming increasingly relevant. ✚ Expansion of Usage Purposes: Newly collected data not only serves reporting but can also be used operationally (e.g., accident statistics: defining preventive measures). CSRD is a priority up to the board level. Companies will increasingly review their strategies in the context of sustainability. Moreover, reporting is more than compliance. In the future, CSRD will be integrated into strategic planning, and governance structures will increasingly strengthen sustainability and ESG leadership. #Reporting #ESG #Sustainability #CSRD

In today's challenging economic climate, sustainability often falls short. However, more companies should understand sustainability as a profitable business model rather than a compliance task. 🍃 Holistic sustainability management is more than a social concern. It future-proofs companies and provides numerous advantages. Sustainability can open up new market segments and business areas, such as CO2 reduction technologies. Companies can reduce costs through sustainability-oriented processes and resource use. Early investment in sustainable technologies can position companies as market pioneers. Companies without a sustainability strategy risk losing market share, facing higher costs, and suffering reputational damage. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors are crucial for investors and lenders, influencing financing options and market perception. Regulatory requirements for sustainability reporting are increasing, with potential sanctions for non-compliance. In order to succeed, CEOs must actively drive sustainable transformation and integrate sustainability into all company areas. Transparent communication of sustainability initiatives can increase employee commitment and foster a culture of change. To stay competitive, brands must think beyond their core products and services. To remain relevant in their customers' lives, they should continually ask: What's the next step? This calls for a method that builds on customer life domains, assessing not only the brand’s current position but also identifying and prioritizing opportunities for growth – all while maintaining a strong brand fit. Successful expansion isn’t just about entering new markets; it’s about strengthening customer relationships and reinforcing brand identity. Porsche Consulting has identified three key principles for driving business growth beyond the core: 🌟 Ensuring Customer Life-Domain Congruence: Businesses must expand into areas that genuinely add value to their customers’ lives. Understanding customer needs across different life domains is key to identifying opportunities that resonate and enhance brand loyalty. 🌟 Achieving Strategic Brand Fit: Not every opportunity is the right one. Companies must evaluate potential expansions through the lens of brand identity, ensuring that new ventures build on their core values and maintain the trust of their customers. 🌟 Realizing Holistic Growth: Companies must not be deceived by short-sighted growth opportunities but assess long-term potential across various sectors. This comprehensive view ensures businesses are well-prepared to strengthen their position beyond their core. In today’s dynamic environment, standing still is not an option. Now is the time to explore what lies beyond the core and take bold steps toward being the brand in the lives of your customers. #Brand #BeyondCore #BusinessExpansion #CustomerCentric #BrandFit #StrategicGrowth
