Who else was at SIAL Paris? 🎤 Our International Director, Albrecht Wolfmeyer, joined Lucie Paté from Five Seasons Ventures on the panel "How to Pitch a FoodTech Investor," sharing practical tips on navigating the challenging investment climate and how to stand out to food-tech investors. 🔗 There were 100 startups showcasing and pitching their exciting food and beverage products. It was great to see familiar faces like planetary, Rival Foods, and our alumni startup ABERYNE, who pitched their plant-based "foi green." What an incredible time at #NextBite24 in Rome! Our Programme Manager, Alexandra Kyvik Ruiz, had the opportunity to meet so many inspiring startups, investors, and thought leaders in the AgriFoodTech space. The energy and passion for driving positive change in food systems were contagious. Some key highlights: 🎤 A standout moment was seeing Luca Fichtinger from Kern Tec, one of our alumni startups, take the stage. Kern Tec has recently rolled out several new products, highlighting their growth in the alternative protein space. 🚀 The roundtable on corporate-startup collaborations, led by Florian Weber and Tommy Schmid from Südzucker Group offered sharp insights on setting clear milestones and aligning missions to drive impactful partnerships in plant-based innovation. 🤩 The startup marketplace was buzzing with mission-driven entrepreneurs showcasing their latest innovations. From Spain to Berlin: food innovators came to ProVeg Incubator HQ for an immersive experience🌍 We had the pleasure of hosting part of an exciting immersion trip organized by Eatable Adventures at our ProVeg Incubator head office, connecting Spanish manufacturers and distributors with German food startups! 🤝🌱 The group gained valuable insights into the German food industry landscape through an interactive session with our team, followed by a Q&A with our alumni startup Mondarella and Berlin-based Zayt Bioscience. We wrapped things up with a tasting of Mondarella’s delicious plant-based cheeses and checked out Zayt’s super innovative yeast-grown fat, made from date-farming waste!
