🌟 Valuable and productive Times at the Solar TAP Principal Investigator Meeting in Frankfurt! 🌞 It’s already halftime for the first funding period of Solar TAP. On Monday, we wrapped up a highly productive session with ca. 20 group leaders from our Research Centers at the Frankfurt Airport Convention Center. We had a lively day filled with discussions and an internal review on the progress we made in the first 15 months. As the formal framework is now in place and we are growing our Solar TAP network with committed company-partners, we are also turning our attention to the transfer projects in PV-technology, which are at the core of Solar TAP. 🚀 Some of the highlights we discussed were: ▪ Engaging updates on the Solar TAP project, network collaborations, and the roadmap for emerging PV technologies. ▪ Insightful deliberations on strategic positioning and the future of Solar TAP. ▪ An intense focus on our ongoing and future transfer projects that are set to change the industry. Stay tuned as we continue to drive innovation and foster partnerships in the solar technology sector. Together, we're paving the way for a sustainable future! #SolarTAP #PVTechnology #Innovation #RenewableEnergy Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, Forschungszentrum Jülich, Helmholtz-Institut Erlangen-Nürnberg für Erneuerbare Energien, Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft

Info

Opportunities for Participation 📅 October 9, 2024 ⏰ 14:30 - 18:00 📍 Cleantech Innovation Park, 96103 Hallstadt ➡ Register here: https://lnkd.in/dsqazt2j #solar #energiewende #cleantech #solartap #hallstadt #bamberg #oberfranken #metropolregionnuernberg SolarTAP, Bayern Innovativ GmbH, Helmholtz-Institut Erlangen-Nürnberg für Erneuerbare Energien, Invest in Bavaria - The Business Promotion Agency of the State of Bavaria, Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Landesentwicklung und Energie, ENERGIEregion Nürnberg e.V.

Over the past decade, perovskite-based tandem solar cells have demonstrated impressive advances, achieving power conversion efficiencies for monolithic perovskite–silicon (Si) and perovskite–perovskite tandem solar cells that surpass the highest-ever reported efficiencies for single-junction solar cells. This progress has inspired several groups to make notable advancements in triple-junction all-perovskite and perovskite–perovskite–Si (3J PPS) solar cells. Our recent preview highlights the impressive work of Yi Hou and colleagues at SERIS which was published in Nature. They achieved impressive efficiencies up to 27.1% with triple-junction perovskite–perovskite–silicon photovoltaics (https://lnkd.in/ePFaixai). Congratulations to the teams at SERIS! ♻ Recycling of perovskite solar cells: Researchers have developed an efficient and environmentally friendly process for recycling perovskite solar cells. In a paper published in the journal Energy & Environmental Science, they present a method with which up to 99.97 percent of the materials used in a solar cell can be recovered and reused - with comparable efficiency, less waste and lower costs. This is the first time that such a high level of efficiency has been achieved in the recycling of perovskite solar cells. 📑 Read more: https://lnkd.in/ewGpP9_a #sustainablePV #perovskite #photovoltaics #recycling #solar Copyright: Forschungszentrum Jülich/Sascha Kreklau
