Open call for SMEs interested in developing agri-food AI technology and design solutions for the future of food. Deadline: 15 May 2024. For Hungry EcoCities – an initiative that seeks to develop responsible, tech and art-driven solutions for the agri-food industry – Studio Other Spaces, supported by @statestudiobln, is leading the knowledge hub ‘Local Conditions,’ currently mentoring selected artists from the first open call from 2023, who are combining AI technology and art to investigate local food productions and food cultures. In the second open call, the first phase starting on February 15, 2024 at 9am CET, Hungry EcoCities invites European SMEs in the agri-food sector to apply if they are interested in exploring responsible AI technologies and innovative solutions for the future of food. Up to ten businesses will be selected to receive funding of up to €45,000 each. In a second phase of this open call, the selected SMEs will be paired with artist partners to form teams that will explore the possibilities of design-technology integration for testing innovative solutions and exploring the fusion of technology and design within given test sites.
