We were awarded the contract for the new construction of the Center for Robotics at Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences (Technische Hochschule Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS)). A new campus is gradually being built on the outskirts of Schweinfurt for the THWS. One of its core elements is the new Center for Robotics (CERI) dedicated to research into and development of intelligent robotic systems. Our design combines laboratories and workshops for robotics and mechatronics in a single building, strengthening the city of Schweinfurt’s role as a driver of innovation and a unique location in Germany for robotics. Info

Together with C.F. Møller Architects, we won the competition for the Hanover Medical School Hospital (Medizinische Hochschule Hannover). Hanover Medical School ranks among the top German medical universities in terms of its research profile. At the same time, it provides comprehensive healthcare services to the people of Hanover and beyond. Our design, which extends the university's existing site, establishes a highly efficient and sustainable healthcare campus with a pleasant atmosphere. A new urban building block for the benefit of all, including patients, staff, and neighbors. More information on the project: https://lnkd.in/dig6K9EX Image: © HENN / C.F. Møller Architects

Architecture and nature in symbiosis: Ten years of Huawei R&D Park Ten years after the completion of Huawei R&D Park, our concept has fully unfolded: Architecture and nature have merged into a harmonious unit of knowledge park and landscape park. Located in Hangzhou, eastern China, the R&D Park provides Huawei, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of mobile communication devices, with ample space for research and development. Embedded in a lush waterscape, the 251,000-square-meter site located in the northwestern part of the city features offices, administrative buildings, and a canteen for 8,000 employees. 60 years of the Berlin wholesale market: a proposal for sustainable further development Berlin's wholesale market celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2025. It acts as an important hub for Berlin's food supply. However, the continuously increasing turnover of goods places growing demands on the buildings and infrastructure of the historic market. In a feasibility study, we have made a proposal for the transformation and sustainable further development of the area. It envisages three zones: the core market in the center for retailers, a new public market hall for the urban community in the east and an expansion area in the west. A central axis for shopping on foot connects all the sales halls, while a continuous ring road controls delivery traffic outside. The existing buildings can be retained, refurbished and integrated into a flexibly adaptable modular system. The design thus forms the basis for decades of forward-looking planning that integrates the Berlin wholesale market into urban society and transforms it into a lively, sustainable meeting place.
