Dr. Alpha Renner from the Peter Grünberg Institut (PGI) - Neuromorphic Software Ecosystems (PGI-15) has been selected for the Young Excellent Scientist Program (YESP) of Forschungszentrum Jülich. Congratulations! Alpha Renner investigates the brain’s navigation system and how cognitive maps and spatial memories are formed. The goal of his interdisciplinary research project is to translate these insights into improved neuromorphic systems and NeuroAI. The goal of YESP is to identify young excellent Jülich scientists, aiming for a #leadership position in science early in their career and support them in a structured manner (including individual advisory service on funding opportunities, mentoring, increased visibility and travel grants). Dr. Bashir Kazimi from the Institute for Advanced Simulation - Materials Data Science and Informatics (IAS-9) has been selected for the Young Excellent Scientist Program (YESP) of Forschungszentrum Jülich.
