Congratulations to Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance on its recent successful placement of the new 7-year BTP and 30-year tap. 🇮🇹 Deutsche Bank acted as a Joint Lead Manager for the placement of the new 7-year BTP and 30-year tap for a total amount of Euro 13bn. 🇦🇺💲 The Australian dollar securitisation market has already surpassed 2023's record-breaking volume, exceeding expectations and attracting significant interest from both domestic and international investors. Deutsche Bank's Preethi Visweswara and Tim Eastwood told KangaNews that they expect this positive trend to continue. 📈 Strong offshore demand, particularly for Auto ABS, is driving growth as investors continue to see relative value in Australian dollar deals, according to Preethi. Raising awareness of the need for organ donors 🙋 As part of the UK’s NHS Blood and Transplant Organ Donation Week, our Investment Bank recently organised its first ever Organ Donation event at our London HQ. More than 100,000 lives have been saved since Organ Donation Week began 30 years ago, yet there is still a need for more donors. Over 600 people gathered in-person and online to learn what it means to give an organ to save or transform the life of someone else. It was also an opportunity to connect with people who have had first-hand experience of the topic and to hear their stories. 🇶🇦 We recently played a leading role in two significant deals in Qatar, reinforcing our strong presence and expertise in the Middle East and Africa region. ➡️ We acted as a lead manager on the Commercial Bank of Qatar's 225 million Swiss franc debut green bond issuance. The transaction marks several milestones, including the first green CHF issuance out of Qatar, the largest CHF issuance out of the country since January 2013, and the largest ever CHF green bond issued out of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa since 2021. ➡️ Additionally, we served as a lead manager for Dukhan Bank's 800 million US dollar Sukuk (an Islamic finance instrument), marking their first Senior Sukuk issuance ever and the largest issue size achieved by a Qatari Islamic bank since 2020.
