Crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail that has been applied to the rest of the collection, the new stool, counter stool, and bar stool maintain an airy elegance. Building on the foundation of the original design, these stools feature a bent veneer seat made of FSC® certified wood. The story of the latest Hvidt & Mølgaard design to join our collection, the Guild shelf, begins in 1951. It was at this time that Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen presented a striking boomerang-shaped desk, which featured an elegant curved edge detail, at the Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition. A year later, in 1952, Hvidt designed his first family home in Klampenborg. Every aspect throughout the space was carefully considered, including a stunning 2-metre-long teak shelf with a distinctive detail reminiscent of the duo's earlier exhibition entry.
