When it comes to developing talent to grow our industry and unlock offshore wind around the world, we know it counts to act early. This is why last month, we had the pleasure of hosting 40 students from the WESA - Wind Energy Student Association at DTU - Technical University of Denmark in our Copenhagen office. We shared insights into the complexities and challenges of our rapidly growing sector with these ambitious students, and discussed pathways from academia onto teams like ours in order to accelerate the global energy transition. ✨ #DTUdk #WESA #LifeatCOP #COPportunity #OffshoreWind #FutureLeaders #RenewableEnergy

Copenhagen Offshore Partners is a world leader in the development and construction of offshore wind projects.
Om os
We develop offshore wind projects. We’re not an energy utility. We don't develop every renewable energy technology. But in seventeen offices across four continents, we are advancing an offshore wind development portfolio of 50GW and counting, which includes some of the world's most groundbreaking projects. Right now the Vineyard Wind 1 project is advancing through construction as the first commercial-scale offshore wind farm in the United States. Pentland in Scotland is to become the world's largest floating farm when constructed. And in Asia, both Korea's Jeonnam 1 project and Taiwan’s Changfang Xidao and Zhong Neng projects are in active construction. But that’s just the project side of the story. Ultimately we are a people business, entrusting our future to the passion and boldness of our team. In just eight short years we’ve grown exponentially – from an 8-person startup boasting some of industry’s most skilled and accomplished offshore wind veterans, to one of the most trusted and globally experienced teams in our industry, with 400+ employees across 41 nationalities. Together, we are unleashing offshore wind around the world and accelerating the global energy transition.

As we work toward our mission to unlock offshore wind, we are intent on bringing positive impact to communities around the world, helping them transition to cleaner and renewable sources of energy. This focus on impact is exactly why we, alongside our partners at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Co., support the non-profit 5 Skoler, which is helping refugee children access education and lead lives of integrity and opportunity. Recently in Copenhagen, we welcomed the founders of 5Skoler, Zarah Kirketerp-Møller and Maren Elise Skjerlie, who shared their story and vision with our teams. Their success, which has been guided by purpose, determination, and partnership, is truly making a difference. We are inspired and pleased to be a part of their story! Our work to unlock offshore wind around the world is truly an adventure! So much so that recently Constanze Goedeckemeyer, Senior Portfolio Documentation Manager, took advantage of a summer sailing trip to make a special stop at one of our contractors, Omega 365 in Norway, to meet the team and advance our work together. While we can’t always meet in such a unique fashion, Constanze’s visit is a great reminder that our success to accelerate the energy transition cannot be done alone. It is the result of collaboration with many valued partners, stakeholders, and connections around the world! We are incredibly proud to celebrate the inauguration of the Zhong Neng Project in Taiwan, marking completion of construction activities for this 300 MW offshore wind project. "Zhong Neng is not only developed with the participation of a local company but also bears the highest localization requirements among wind farms in Taiwan,” said COP Vice President and Zhong Neng CEO Joris Hol. "This milestone is more than just a construction achievement; it symbolizes both COP and CIP’s continued commitment to renewable energy development and the energy transition in Asia,” said Jesper Krarup Holst, Partner and Head of APAC at COP. When fully operational, Zhong Neng will generate enough renewable energy to power approximately 300,000 local households and will deliver an annual expected CO2 reduction of 550,000 tons.
