The end of summer has been very exciting and we have been delighted to host inspiring workshops for both the 2023 and 2024 GMT Programme Trainees & Finance Graduates from across the globe at our Copenhagen HQ. The Global Management Trainee (GMT) Programme is an 18-month programme, equipping young professionals with the training and skills to become top managers in the future. In the last two days, the newest participants (1st photo) have been part of an onboarding workshop, marking the beginning of their GMT journey. This workshop follows another one held at the end of August, where the 2023 cohort (2nd photo) joined for a leadership workshop. The 2023 trainees have also embarked on an exciting 90-day international exchange! Liz Benison said: "I believe our Graduate Management Training programme is one of the best that there is, and certainly year after year we recruit some amazing talent. Spending time with them all before they go off to their international placements was truly energising- they are all so ready to make the most out of the opportunity, and keen to learn and share. As they leave HQ, I certainly feel ISS’s future is in safe hands." We’re thrilled that our trainees and finance graduates have been able to gain valuable knowledge from these sessions, supporting them on their journey to becoming top managers in the future. #GMTProgramme #Leadership #FutureLeaders #OneISS

We are thrilled to receive DI - Dansk Industri (Danish Industry) and FSR - danske revisorer's (Danish Auditors) Annual Report Award 2024 🤩 🙏. Remarking on the reason for awarding ISS, the judging panel emphasised how our report is deeply aligned with our business and creates a seamless connection between the narrative and financial sections. The committee also recognised our emphasis on social sustainability as a core priority at ISS. ISS Group CFO, Mads Holm, said: “With over 325,000 employees in 60 countries, our people are our greatest asset, dedicated to delivering service excellence and value to our 40,000 customers. With this global presence comes great responsibility. We are committed to intensifying our social impact going forward, not only because it is the right thing to do, but also because it directly supports our business. This is why, in the report, we’ve increased our focus on how social initiatives are integral to our business model and strategic priorities”. We’re pleased to share that ISS delivers robust financial results for the first half of 2024. Kasper Fangel, Group CEO of ISS, says: “I’m pleased that we continued to meet our financial and operational targets in the first half of 2024. I am especially pleased that our operating margin is improving in line with our expectations. Our growth and robust financial performance are the results of our steadfast focus on managing inflationary pressure, as well as the outstanding, dedicated efforts of our placemakers, who deliver value to our customers every day. We have successfully mobilised new large customer contracts, such as DEFRA and the Danish Building and Property Agency, and we are well on track to deliver on our targets for the full year. Due to the strong liquidity position and cash flow outlook, we are today able to increase our share buyback programme with DKK 250 million for the next six months.” You can read more about our results in our interim report for 1 January – 30 June 2024 here: https://lnkd.in/e4VkmGRM #OneISS #SustainableGrowth #PeopleMakePlaces

Companies and individuals alike can all make a difference in advancing equal rights, and we have a huge responsibility to do so. Yesterday, for the third year in a row, ISS A/S and ISS Danmark celebrated Pride alongside A.P. Moller - Maersk, Novo Nordisk, and Nordea in Denmark🌈 Research continues to show that many LGBTQ+ individuals don’t feel they can be their authentic selves at work. At the event, we focused on how to prevent discrimination both in general and in the workplace. ‘Allyship’ is one of the answers, as highlighted by our keynote speaker, Sara Louise Muhr, Professor of Diversity & Leadership at Copenhagen Business School. She shared insights on various ways of practicing inclusive behaviour and led a panel discussion where representatives from each company discussed their views on allyship based on personal experiences. For instance, Liz Benison, Group Chief People & Transformation Officer at ISS, shared how she actively practices allyship through working with a 'bias buddy' to challenge and guide her decisions. At ISS, our people have always been our driving force. They are our greatest assets and ambassadors, and creating a workplace where everyone can be who they are and feel a sense of belonging is paramount to us. This commitment is also reflected in our employee promise: A Place to be You. And it’s something we’re committed to today, tomorrow, and in the future. Let’s continue moving the needle together! 🤝 #CompaniesComeTogetherForPride #EqualRights #APlaceToBeYou #SocialSustainability
