NaaS er en service, hvor Kamstrup designer, ejer og drifter et datahjemtagningsnetværk tilpasset kundens behov for data. Det giver overskud til at fokusere på drift, lækagesøgning og optimering af netværket. We are happy to see that Steen Schelle Jensen, our Head of Business Development of the Heating & Cooling Department, has been nominated for the European Commission's Smart Energy Expert Group (SEEG) on behalf of Euroheat & Power. Its purpose is to accelerate the digitalisation of the energy system and contribute to the smart energy transition. To enable this, the European Commission has initiated an expert group with different stakeholders in the energy industry, where Steen is included. The SEEG had its first meeting last week. We hope that Steen and the rest of the group can help bring the needed information and insight required to act accordingly and bring attention to the needs for a more digital and smart energy sector.

On 26 September, we hosted an intensive one-day training event for our trusted channel partners, bringing together 58 partners from 24 different countries.   The event featured 14 expert presenters from our product department, who led specialised training sessions. The topics were focusing on smart heating & cooling meters, on our broad capabilities in communication technology and on the roadmap & new features in READy, our MDM system.   Our channel partners are a key part of our customer relations in many countries. We aim to foster strong relationships with our partners ensuring they are well-equipped to meet the demands of the industry.

DHC Market Outlook 2024 by @euroheat identifies the key aspects shaping the future of the district heating & cooling sector. Our Head of Business Development in heating & cooling, Steen Schelle wrapped up the most important future trends: The need for clean energy and safe critical infrastructure is more important than ever. Centralised district cooling is 30% more efficient than individual cooling and can help take some of the pressure of the grid network.  Everyone seems convinced that district heating is in fact a good idea. The dispute is rooted in concerns of clarification on planning, ownership, and consumer protection to ensure that a monopoly is not created. A broader political agenda and action is needed to ensure the frame for the upscaling. Lastly, there is a need for an optimised operation to ensure the full potential of district heating and cooling is met. Kamstrup can potentially play a pivotal role in inspiring, leading, and delivering on smart district heating solutions across Europe – not only regarding digitalisation, but also when it comes to consumer protection. Yesterday we have had the pleasure of hosting yet another delegation of water professionals from the US, who are on a week-long fact-finding trip to Denmark to meet water utilities, technology providers and other stakeholders from the Danish water sector. The trip was arranged by the WTA (Water Technology Alliance), which is a strong partner for Kamstrup in strengthening relations with utilities in the US. “It was a pleasure to bring this delegation of American water experts to Kamstrup. Kamstrup’s cutting-edge ultrasonic metering and AMI technology really stand out and with the water scarcity and water loss we see in many places in the US, the built-in acoustic leak detection capabilities were especially impressive to learn about.
