“When I witness someone being judged based on their gender, I always speak up, and I believe everyone should do the same. Allyship is a responsibility we all share” 🤝 For Suriyaprabha M, Senior Engineer in Ramboll's Wind team and Chair of the Women in Energy network in India, International Women's Day is a powerful reminder to challenge stereotypes and promote inclusivity. “Women often have to prove themselves more than men – adapting their styles to fit in or explain how they balance professional and family life.” Throughout her career, allyship has played a transformative role. Whether it was a senior student encouraging her to step beyond traditional gender roles at university or the unwavering support from her manager during her return from parental leave, these moments have reinforced the importance of standing together. Accelerating action for gender equality means breaking down rigid career paths and recognising talent based on skills, ambition, and impact. Suriyaprabha believes that fostering a society built on equality starts with how we raise future generations. “The way we raise our children shapes the kind of adults, leaders, and citizens they become. Imposing outdated ideas of what it means to be a woman or a man limits potential and influences career choices. Instead, we should focus on raising empathetic, capable individuals – beyond gender labels.” International Women’s Day may be over, but the fight for gender equality continues. Let's commit to becoming active allies and creating workplaces where everyone can thrive ✨ #InternationalWomensDay #AccelerateAction #IWD2025 #GenderEquality

“A successful leadership career and a thriving family life should not be seen as mutually exclusive” 👏 For this year’s International Women’s Day, we’re amplifying the voices driving gender equality at Ramboll. Annina Peisa is the Director of Business Area for Ramboll Buildings in Finland. She is also the Finnish representative for Ramboll’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Council. Reflecting on the significance of the day, Annina explains what accelerating action for gender equality means to her. “I think it’s important to have an annual day to celebrate women and raise awareness about gender inequalities. In many places, women still don’t have the same rights as men, especially when it comes to education and financial independence.” Throughout her career, Annina has been fortunate to have supportive supervisors who encouraged her to aim high without hesitation. However, through her advocacy work, she has seen that inequality persists – including a significant gender pay gap. Besides her job in Ramboll, Annina is also the Chair of the Finnish Association of Civil Engineering. “Through surveys conducted by the association, we’ve found, for example, a significant pay gap between male and female trainees in our field. This is especially concerning because these positions start at the same level, with equal education and experience, meaning there should be no difference in pay. Unfortunately, the gender pay gap persists at all levels of the industry, and that remains a serious issue that needs to be addressed.” Open conversations and sharing experiences play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive society. At Ramboll, we are committed to breaking down barriers and promoting gender equality – not just today, but everyday 🙌 #InternationalWomensDay #AccelerateAction #IWD2025 #GenderEquality

“Strong female role models have played a crucial role throughout my career” 👏 For this year’s International Women’s Day, we’re spotlighting the voices shaping a more inclusive future at Ramboll. Kaya Patel, Civil Engineer in the rail and infrastructure team for Ramboll Transport in the UK, shares what the day means to her and how we can accelerate action for gender equality. “To me, celebrating International Women’s Day is about coming together as a community, embracing shared values, and exchanging experiences. It’s also a time to recognise the inspiring female role models who pave the way for others.” Reflecting on her own experiences, Kaya highlights the importance of allyship in breaking down gender stereotypes. “Like many women, I often found myself being asked to take minutes. While taking minutes isn’t an unusual task, being asked to do it in eight out of ten meetings in a single week made me question why the responsibility repeatedly fell on me… Fortunately, this pattern didn’t last long – thanks to colleagues who noticed and raised the matter.” When asked how we can accelerate action, she emphasises the importance of creating career paths that reflect the ambitions and diverse skills of all talent entering the industry. “By integrating diverse perspectives and including more women into engineering solutions and client interactions, we can create more inclusive, thoughtful, and effective designs that truly serve everyone.” At Ramboll, we believe that fostering gender equality benefits everyone – from happier teams to more innovative solutions. Today, and everyday, we are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive ✨ #InternationalWomensDay #AccelerateAction #IWD2025 #GenderEquality

What does it take to create a workplace where everyone can thrive? 👩🚀 According to the World Economic Forum’s 2024 report, full gender parity is still 134 years away—five generations beyond the 2030 Sustainable Development Goal target. With International Women’s Day just round the corner, we’re highlighting the importance of action around gender equality. "Accelerating action for gender equality starts with reinforcing our values because they guide our behaviour. This means focusing on fairness, inclusivity, and well-being for all, which in return creates stronger teams and an environment where everyone feels valued and supported," says Lone Tvis, our Group CPO. We all have a role to play in promoting gender equality, as our Group COO Peter Heymann Andersen remarks: "We all can – and should – stay curious, keep on learning from different situations and from people around us, and actively contribute to a more inclusive workplace culture.” On this International Women’s Day, we reflect on the steps already taken and the work still ahead. As Peter puts it, "Let’s listen, learn, and lead by example—because gender equality benefits us all" 👏 #InternationalWomensDay #AccelerateAction #IWD2025 #GenderEquality

What does the new EU Packaging Regulation mean for your business? The EU’s new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is a game-changer, setting legally binding targets to reduce packaging waste and promote sustainability. Businesses placing packaging on the market must adapt to: ♻ Recyclability requirements – All packaging must be fully recyclable by 2030. 🔄 Mandatory recycled content – Minimum targets for plastic packaging. 📉 Waste reduction – 15% per capita cut in packaging waste by 2040. 🌱 Reuse and refill systems – Obligations for key industries like e-commerce and hospitality. 🚫 Bans on excessive and single-use packaging. This presents both challenges and opportunities—compliance will require investment, but businesses that innovate early will gain a competitive edge.
