Novo Nordisk Foundation: Application Calls and Grants

Deadline: 9 January 2025 2:00pm (CET) The purpose is to support internationalisation of promising and ambitious young researchers and enable them to do post-doctoral research abroad and facilitating the return to, and integration in, the Danish academic research environment. The fellowship offers an opportunity to carry out a research project within bioscience and basic biomedicine, where 3 years are dedicated to work at a university, hospital or other research institution abroad, followed by up to 1 year at a university, hospital or other research institution in Denmark.

Deadline: 9 January 2025 2:00pm (CET) With the overall aim of catalyzing Danish fundamental research impacting better health through knowledge, the purpose of the ‘Hallas-Møller Emerging Investigator – Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine’ grant is to support highly promising starting group leaders with novel and ambitious projects that will bring new and important insight into human health and disease.

Deadline: 9 January 2025 2:00pm (CET) With the overall aim of catalyzing Danish fundamental research impacting better health through knowledge, the purpose of the ‘Distinguished Investigator – Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine’ grant is to support leading professors, who propose to undertake novel and ambitious projects that will bring new and important insight into human health and disease.

Join us for an online information meeting about the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s open calls within the Research Infrastructure Programme 2025: Large Equipment and Facilities 2025 and Exploratory Research Instrumentation 2025. The programme spans the NNF strategic focus within biomedicine and health science, sustainability and biotechnology, and natural and technical sciences as well as data science. It is intended for researchers, who hold a PhD and are employed in academic or AC-TAP positions at Danish Universities or other non-profit organisations.

Deadline: 4 February 2025 2:00pm (CET) The primary purpose of the Start Package grant is to make Danish universities or other research institutions more competitive when recruiting top researchers of any nationality. The aim is also to enhance researcher mobility across borders, among Danish universities and from industry to university.

Deadline: 22 November 2024 12:00pm (CET) Prisen har til formål at anerkende og synliggøre en særlig pædagogisk indsats inden for læreplanstemaet natur, udeliv og science.

Deadline: 31 October 2024 2:00pm (CET) NNF Laureate Research Grant is for recruitment or retainment of an outstanding established biomedical researcher to come to Denmark from abroad or stay in Denmark to further expand their research, and to facilitate collaboration across scientific and geographic borders, thereby strengthening the Danish biomedical research environment to meet societal challenges.  

Deadline: 9 January 2025 2:00pm (CET) With the Exploratory Research Instrumentation Programme, the Novo Nordisk Foundation wishes to strengthen the Danish research and innovation environments by supporting the development of new research instrumentation and methodology that is not commercially available today and/or is significantly more sustainable or otherwise advantageous than commercially available solutions. There will be an Online Information Meeting about the Research Infrastructure Programme 2025 on the 28.11.2024 13:00-14:00 PM. More information will follow.

Deadline: 9 January 2025 2:00pm (CET) With the Equipment Upgrade Programme, the Novo Nordisk Foundation wishes to ensure that the Danish research, innovation and industry environments have continued access to timely research infrastructures by supporting the maintenance and upgrade of the Novo Nordisk Foundation funded research infrastructures. Only applications submitted by a grant holder of a grant within the ‘Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Infrastructure Programme – Large Equipment and Facilities’ will be considered for funding. All other applications will receive an administrative rejection by Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Deadline: 9 January 2025 2:00pm (CET) With the Large Equipment and Facilities call, the Novo Nordisk Foundation wishes to strengthen the Danish research environment by supporting the establishment and maintenance of open-access infrastructures needed to achieve excellence in research and innovation. There will be an Online Information Meeting about the Research Infrastructure Programme 2025 on the 28.11.2024 13:00-14:00 PM. More information will follow.
