The permit award provides further opportunity for Chevron to deliver on its strategy of safely delivering lower carbon energy to a growing world. . www.chevron.com The G-18-AP permit is offshore from Onslow, Western Australia and covers an area of approximately 8,467 km2 with water depths of 50-1100m. The permit area will be evaluated as part of a hub for storing third party emissions, including those from Chevron’s operated LNG assets. The permit involves a joint venture with Chevron as operator, and Woodside Energy Ltd. Chevron will hold a 70% participating interest in the permit, and Woodside will hold a 30% participating interest. Chevron has agreed to farm down five percent of its equity in the permit to GS Caltex (GSC) of Korea. GSC’s entry into the permit is conditional on regulatory approvals and other matters. “Chevron, along with our joint venture participants, have a unique set of assets, capabilities and customer relationships to support the further

The first-ever European Union rules to curb methane emissions from the energy sector have become legislation. The new EU Methane Emissions Reduction 2019/942 Ruling means gas, oil and coal industries in Europe must measure, monitor, report and verify their methane emissions and take action to reduce them. The ruling became legislation on 27 May 2024.Why introduce this ruling? According to the EU’s Green House Gas (GHG) Inventory Report, more than 50% of all direct methane emissions from Europe’s energy sector result from unintentional release into the atmosphere. EU authorities believe this legislation and its focus on LDAR (leak detection and repair) will have a substantial impact on emissions mitigation and contribute towards climate goals. Who does it affect? The new announcement sets out a number of stipulations, such as the requirement for methane leak detection capabilities in: • Upstream oil exploration and production, including all well types • Fossil gas gathering,

Argo Cassiopea plays a central role in Eni's strategy to increase the use of domestic natural gas for energy security and as a low-emission source. www.eni.com Eni has started gas production from the Argo Cassiopea field, the most important gas development project in Italy. The gas, coming from one of the four subsea wells drilled in recent months in the Strait of Sicily, has been transported through a 60 km subsea pipeline to the Gela processing plant. Here it will be processed and then fed into the national grid, contributing to Italy's energy needs. The Argo Cassiopea production project, operated by Eni in a joint venture with Energean, has begun production just three years after the start of work. Production is carried out entirely under the sea, with no visual impact and near-zero emissions. A dedicated installation of 3.6 MWp of photovoltaic panels will ensure the project achieves carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions. Argo Cassiopea plays a central role in Eni
