    Why you *actually* need to use several data providers A while ago, we did an eye-opening user survey. (we randomly selected 80 users) We wanted to see: How helpful is what we've built really? So we asked them 3 simple questions: - by how much did your enrichment rate increase? - how much money do you save/reduce costs? - how much time do you save? The results were quite unexpected. We knew that everyone’s enrichment rate increased. (as we combine all relevant data sources) But the most interesting was something different: The time & money users saved. For a better understanding, we conducted interviews. (thanks again for the readiness!) The findings: 1. Users save on avg. 12h/week (as they don't need to manually combine providers) 2. Users reduce on avg. costs by 37% (as they don't need multiple provider subscriptions) The quintessence: It’s not just that you find more data.     I joined BetterContact two months ago, and it's been incredible to be part of this exciting journey - even in a small way After nearly 2 years in business, we have come a long way This year, we enriched more than 12M emails. Here is what we found: When you opt for a single email provider, you find only 52% of email addresses on average, meaning you will find only 520 emails out of 1,000 contacts Of that, 28% are invalid emails, leaving you with 374 valid emails When you enrich the same list with 5+ providers, you can find 80% of the emails Again, 27% of these emails are catch-all, not safe The only reason this matters is that it harms your DOMAIN reputation If you still think an aggregation of email providers will not make a difference, TRY it for yourself If you're using a single email provider- Send us a lead list to extract emails on the HOUSE & compare for yourself.     Last week, we slashed our margins by 11% to offer a 5x better product (one of our hardest decisions so far) But already proven to be worthwhile. We made the decision to stop charging for catch-all emails. For these so called ‘risky’ emails users are charged (industry-standard). As we get billed for these by our aggregated providers as well, we needed to pass the cost on. However, as we more and more realized that it’s a big UX dragger, we stopped charging for them. PLUS, we included catch-all verification (which we previously also charged for).

    Cold emailing becomes HARDER every day New regulations, a vast amount of new tools, AI usage etc. Here is a solid 5-step plan for to crush it: 0. Email Providers Make sure to use 2 email service providers. Don't only stick to G-Suite, but consider Outlook as well. 1. Check your set up Get a secondary domain at Namecheap, GoDaddy, or elsewhere. Use MxToolBox to check if SPF, DMARC, DKIM are set up. 2. Warm up your emails Use Instantly/Smartlead to build a sender reputation. This will help you to increase deliverability. 3. Use trusted contact data Find leads from Sales Navigator/Apollo. Use BetterContact to find & verify email addresses. AI-waterfalling will give you access to 20+ data sources. For maximum accuracy, bounce verification layers are included. 4. Automate your outreach Again, use Instantly/Smartlead to automate your outreach. This will increase your efficiency and allow for scale. 5. Monitor your campaign health If you use Google, use Postmaster to monitor your spam rate.
