Thank you to the 128 employees and families from our Issoire plant who took part in the local "Running for a Child" event with Kiwanis International this past weekend! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ Since the event began six years ago, Constellium and its employees have supported the local Kiwanis chapter and its efforts to help disadvantaged children. It's one of many programs the generous Issoire team supports in their community. #ConstelliumCARES #community

Last weekend, the Valais region of Switzerland was hit hard by extremely heavy rainfall, causing flooding as the Rhône River overflowed its banks. Our Sierre and Chippis plants were affected by this natural disaster and had to stop production. We are very glad to report that all our employees are safe. It is still too early to assess the extent of the damage, or to tell when production will restart, but our teams are mobilized with the great support of local and federal authorities and are already working on cleaning up the site. Our priority is to bring both sites back to operation in a safe, organized, and efficient manner, as early as possible. We would like to thank our Valais teams and the first responders for their incredible work to limit the damage and ensure the safety of our employees and the community.

On this day in 1893, the first statue cast in aluminium was dedicated in London's Piccadilly Circus and placed atop the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain. The Statue of Anteros (though popularly known as Eros), Greek Avenger of Unrequited Love, still welcomes visitors to the bustling circle. Aluminium has long been a preferred medium of artists and sculptors who appreciate it for being light, strong, flexible, and corrosion resistant. In the spirit of #OutdoorOfficeDay, a group of employees from our Zurich office took part in a Forest Bathing session at nearby Hönggerberg Forest. Forest bathing is the practice of spending time in nature for health and happiness, experiencing nature in a conscious way through all your senses, offering a chance to slow down, be present and fully appreciate your surroundings. Forest Bathing Switzerland led the group through various locations and exercises to connect with the surrounding nature. The sunny morning ended with a quote from John Muir: "In every walk with nature one receives far more than one seeks." #WellBeing #MentalHealth #ForestBathing

Yes, they can! The Million Cans Recycling Contest recently announced that more than 1.3 million aluminium beverage cans were collected by second and third grade students at eight schools in seven U.S. states! Led by Scrap University Kids and the Can Manufacturers Institute from October 15, 2023 to May 16, 2024, the contest educated students about the importance and value of recycling in communities where recycling rates are low and curbside collection systems are not available. Learn more about the contest and our Muscle Shoals plant's partnership with nearby L.E. Willson Elementary School, which plans to use their proceeds from recycling to purchase new aluminium bleachers for their gymnasium, at https://lnkd.in/diedsVvP Huge thanks to our Muscle Shoals team, Jessica Alexanderson and Scrap University Kids, CMI, SA Recycling, the students and staff at L. E. Willson for making this a great experience and hopefully the first of many friendly competitions! #aluminium #aluminum #recycling #sustainability #CircularEconomy #ChooseAluminum
