🌍 Honoured to host the Team Europe delegation at our Swakopmund Renewstable® Site.   Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming the Team Europe delegation to our Swakopmund Renewstable® project site. The delegation included their excellencies the Ambassadors to Namibia from Europe, France, Germany, Portugal, and Spain, alongside representatives from the EU Commission. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase how Namibia’s first hydrogen-to-power plant is set to deliver 24/7 renewable energy, strengthening the national grid and supporting the country’s energy transition. 🌍 February Highlights: A Month of Progress and Partnerships for HDF Energy Caribbean 🌍 🌟 We were thrilled to welcome our Deputy CEO, Hanane EL HAMRAOUI to Barbados, on the occasion of the 48th @CARICOM Forum! While energy sovereignty was top of mind for many, HDF Energy was proud to be at the forefront of these critical conversations. Our Caribbean team was excited to welcome her to our recently launched offices and showcase the progress of the Renewstable® Barbados (RSB) project in person, between site visits and meaningful moments of reflection and strategic discussion. As a special touch, she even brought French delicacies straight from our head office in Bordeaux! 🇫🇷 🤝 In the wake of the forum, Hanane EL HAMRAOUI and Caribbean VP, Thibault MENAGE, had a key meeting with Mr. Thani Mohamed-Soilihi, Delegate French Minister for Foreign Affairs and Francophonie, which emphasized RSB’s crucial role in supporting the Caribbean’s energy transition. This moment also reaffirmed the synergies between the French and Barbadian governments alongside HDF Energy, in advancing hydrogen as a key driver of energy resilience in the region. 👥 To close out a busy month, we were delighted to host Hélène CONWAY-MOURET, Senator for French nationals abroad, and her team of French senators at our offices. Ce prix, organisé par GREENUNIVERS et Andera Partners valorise les actions et impacts de femmes en 2024 pour la transition énergétique. 🙆♀️ ➡️ Cette année, 7 lauréates et 13 nominées ont été choisies par le jury parmi 128 dossiers déposés lors de l’appel à candidatures ou proposés par des membres du jury. Parmi elles : 🔬 Le prix de l’Innovation a été remis à Charlotte Roule 夏澜, Directrice Générale de STORENGY pour son rôle clé dans le développement de nouvelles solutions énergétiques, notamment dans le domaine du stockage #hydrogène. Elle a contribué à faire avancer des projets innovants comme le projet de stockage d’hydrogène Hypster à Etrez dans l’Ain, visant à démontrer la faisabilité et l’efficacité du stockage souterrain d’hydrogène pour la transition énergétique. 🔋 Hanane EL HAMRAOUI, Directrice générale adjointe et directrice industrielle a quant à elle été nominée en reconnaissance de son rôle central dans l'industrialisation des piles à combustible chez HDF Energy. A ses fonctions, elle supervise la stratégie industrielle de l'entreprise, contribuant ainsi significativement à la décarbonation.
