Exciting discussions at the German-African Energy Forum this Monday where Timona Ghosh participated in a panel for HDF Energy on opportunities & challenges of sustainable H2 in Africa - a crucial topic for the decarbonization of global energy and for HDF Energy! ⚡🌿 A great opportunity to highlight our shared commitment to a sustainable energy future and local value creation. At HDF Energy, we are developing several Renewstable® projects in Africa, such as the pioneering green hydrogen power plant in Swakopmund, Namibia. By combining intermittent renewable energy with green hydrogen storage, this plant will deliver stable, 24/7 non-intermittent renewable electricity—a game-changer for Namibia’s energy landscape. Thanks a lot to the co-panelist Eng. Isaac Kiva , PE, FIEK from Government of Kenya, Marian Alejandra Rodriguez from Climate Bonds Initiative, Heino von Meyer from International Power-to-X Hub, Thomas Pohl from KfW and the great moderation from Rainer Quitzow as well as the insightful input from Maximilian Rischer from RIFS Research Institute for Sustainability | at GFZ and Hans Koeppel from Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany. This was an overall great event hosted by the Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft (German - African Business Association). #hydrogen #greenenergy #sustainableenergy
