🇲🇦 The government of the Kingdom of Morocco and TE H2, along with its partners, just signed a preliminary contract for land reservation dedicated to a large-scale #renewables and #hydrogen project! 🌬️☀️ Located near the Atlantic coast in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, the Chbika project aims to build 1 gigawatt of onshore solar and wind capacities. They will power the production of #greenhydrogen through the electrolysis of desalinated seawater and its transformation into 200,000 tons per year of green ammonia for the European market. This contract, a first in #Morocco, will highlight the country’s exceptional renewable potential and contribute to the economic development of the Kingdom! 🌞💨⚡TotalEnergies and the DTU - Technical University of Denmark are advancing renewable energy research with the Risø Hybrid Power Plant. This new test facility, located at DTU’s Risø campus, combines two wind turbines, over 1,600 m² of solar panels, a 1.25 MWh storage battery, and an advanced electricity network interface. It will enable researchers to explore how to optimize wind and solar power with battery storage for stable electricity production. The plant will be the central part of DTU-TotalEnergies Excellence Centre of Clean Energy (DTEC) research into a more sustainable energy supply, providing an essential tool for developing and testing new technologies before they are scaled up. #TotalEnergies #DTU #Research
