L’Union européenne n’a pas inventé le rapport extra-financier. Par contre, elle a souhaité l’étendre et le standardiser. Pour amener plus de transparence environnementale mais également pour donner aux entreprises l’opportunité de ne pas répéter cet exercice à de multiples reprises selon les formats qui leur sont réclamés par leurs parties prenantes. Sous couvert de simplicité, cette prise de position de la part d’un ancien Premier ministre, dont on a pourtant autrefois salué l’engagement écologique et européen, ne frôle-t-elle pas la démagogie ? 🐝 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻? 🌿 This summer, the European Green Deal finally got itself (not without difficulty) a regulation aimed at concretely combating the loss of biodiversity within the EU. ⚠️ 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝟴𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆. So it was time for Europe to tackle the issue head on. This European regulation on nature restoration aims to halt the degradation of ecosystems in Europe. It requires Member States to take action to 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝟵𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟱𝟬. This environmental text obviously also has an economic interest, given that the ECB recently highlighted the fact that 𝟳𝟮% 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 🌍 Against a backdrop of growing environmental crisis, this regulation represents an opportunity to restore crucial ecosystems, but many challenges remain, particularly in terms of funding and implementation. How does RATP Dev manage its ESG data and carbon impact? 🌐 This was the question Grégory MALET, CSR Director at RATP Dev, answered recently at a workshop at PRODURABLE, the largest European event for sustainable economy solutions. 📊 He set out our CSR ambitions and underlined the stakes of managing ESG data. At RATP Dev, we have implemented advanced data collection and analysis processes to monitor the progress of our CSR strategy and to comply with relevant reporting frameworks, such as the CSRD. As Grégory explained, measuring sustainability-related criteria is increasingly recognized as important by public authorities, and this is reflected in bids.
