Women in Mining, Ondo State Chapter, had a *career talk today at the Federal Government Girls College, Akure tagged: *Girls for Mining (G4M)*. We introduced the SS2 science students to Mining Engineering and related courses like Geology and Geophysics. With *240 female science students*, it was a wonderful experience and outing. We sincerely appreciate Engr Demi Odutayo and Engr. Dr Omotehinse who spoke on why Mining Engineering is a good course to study and Mrs Oyinade Uvere spoke on why Geology is a good course to study. We distributed notebooks to the students. We appreciate everyone for making this *feat* achievable in a short period of time. We are grateful to Dr. Omotehinse Adeyinka Oluwayomi Omotehinse D.Sc Ondo State Development & Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA) Ondo State In Diaspora Ondo State Ministry odsg of Education and all Executives of Women in Mining in Nigeria and of course Association of Women in Mining in Africa Zenzi Awases Judith Karangi Kundai Chikonzo Benjamin Cox Olusola Olaniyi (Ogunlade) for their commitment on promoting inclusion and diversity in the mining space. I have been recently honored by the "Association of Women In Mining in Africa (AWIMA)" who has counted me among the inspiring women leaders in the African mining sector. I have been blessed to receive a Sustainability Award during the ceremony which was held in Accra on the 11th June 2024 for my " contributions towards improving mining health and safety, and promoting sustainability and ESG". I am really grateful to GOD for His Grace and Faithfulness; Thank you LORD! I am grateful to my family for their unconditional support during my career. It was not always easy. Thank you! I am really grateful to all my peers and industry colleagues who have nominated me. Feeling humbled by your appreciation; Thank you! I would like to thank each and everyone who has always believed in me, supported me and pushed me to be the best version of myself during this journey because, for sure, I could not make it alone.
