From cutting-edge research discussions at TU Dortmund University to exploring Germany’s deep football heritage, our delegation from #KNUST, #UENR, and #UEW has made the most of this exchange. 🔬 TU Dortmund Labs & Research Collaboration We had the incredible opportunity to visit some advanced research labs, where we engaged with leading scientists in quantum computing, materials science, and computational physics. These discussions set the stage for future joint research projects and potential student & faculty exchange programs. 📌 Key Highlights: ✅ Lab tours showcasing TU Dortmund’s latest innovations ✅ Hands-on discussions on quantum materials & machine learning applications ✅ Exploring collaboration avenues for students & researchers ⚽️ A Cultural Stop: German Football Museum & Stadium Visit No visit to Dortmund is complete without experiencing its legendary football culture! Our delegation had the chance to tour the German Football Museum, where we traced the rich history of German football, World Cup victories, and Bundesliga legends. 🏟️ Signal Iduna Park Stadium Visit – Walking through Borussia Dortmund’s home ground was a surreal moment, standing where football history is made! 🤝 Strengthening Ties: Meeting with the TU Dortmund President A key highlight of our visit was our official meeting with the President at the Rectorate. Over the years the Department of Physics has produced high calibre and competitive Physicists, Meteorologists and Climate Scientists who do not only contribute immensely to the development of Ghana but also fit very well into the global scientific community. We are poised to be the preferred premier Department in the College of Science of this University. We invite you to join our department to help push the frontiers of nature and technology with our dedicated lecturers and researchers across different specialties. The Department focuses on the following research fields: Geophysics, Meteorology and Climate Science, Solid State Physics, Nuclear Science and Technology, Environmental Physics, Material Science and Mathematical and Computational Physics. Our teaching programs include BSc, MSc, MPhil and PhD courses. The Department of Physics is located on an approximately one-and-a-half-acre compound near the Aboagye Menyeh Science Complex Block. It also shares boundaries with Pharmacy to the north, Engineering workshop to the south, and Bureau of Integrated Rural Development (BIRD) to the East.
