👋Hello and welcome to ONCOSCREEN, a €13M flagship project funded by Horizon Europe 🇪🇺 research and innovation actions supporting the implementation of #EU's Mission on Cancer and focusing on the development of new methods and technologies for cancer screening and early detection. Here's a little bit of information about us 👇 ✔️ The ONCOSCREEN project will develop new technologies and methodologies for low-cost colorectal cancer screening and contribute to raising awareness on the disease and its detection. ✔️ The project consortium comprises 38 partners from 15 EU member states and associated countries. It brings together technical solutions partners, medical professionals, cancer research experts, cancer patient associations, and policy makers. ✔️ Only 14% of European citizens participates in cancer screening programmes. There is an urgent need for accurate, non-invasive, and cost-effective screening tests. 🌬️ Innovating Colorectal Cancer Screening: Breathomics 🌬️ Early detection of colorectal cancer is crucial for improving outcomes and reducing mortality. However, current screening methods still face challenges, including patient discomfort and low uptake. ✨ Breathomics, the study of breath composition and analysis, is paving the way for non-invasive cancer detection and monitoring.
