Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Forecasting and Planning: Take part in the sales forecasting, strategic planning, and budgeting processes within the sales organization, ensuring high levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency in planning efforts
- Sales Process Optimization: Establish efficient sales processes, ensuring they are followed and continually optimized. This includes implementing automation, enhancing traceability, and managing workflows with various technological tools to ensure scalable processes, while updating team playbooks and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Sales Funnel Management: Oversee the sales funnel from the creation of Marketing-Qualified Leads (MQLs) to closing deals, monitoring the conversion from MQLs to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and tracking deal progress
- CRM Management: Manage existing CRM tools and recommend additional ones to streamline workflows for commercial departments, allowing them to focus on execution and results rather than implementation
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the organization and quality of data in the CRM while monitoring sales pipelines and tracking conversion rates at each stage
- Reporting and Intelligence: Oversee the accurate and efficient distribution of sales and financial reports and other critical intelligence for the sales organization
- Compensation Program Development: Provide input to senior leadership in designing and administering sales incentive compensation programs
- Experience: A minimum of six years in a senior commercial role, with at least two years in sales operations management. A strong understanding of sales processes and mastery of relevant technology and tools is essential for optimizing tasks
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and visualization, with experience in CRM and sales software, project management, problem-solving, budgeting, and financial acumen to evaluate sales profitability and identify opportunities
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, technology, or marketing
- Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership capabilities to assess ongoing sales team performance and provide necessary training and coaching. Adaptability, creativity, customer focus, empathy, and meticulous attention to detail are crucial
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with sales teams, other departments, and upper management
- Problem-Solving: Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities for sales process enhancements and implement new strategies
- Financial Acumen: Strong financial skills and business insight
- Research and Reporting: Proficient in analyzing sales data and consumer trends to generate accurate sales forecasts
