OMD Hong Kong together with The Curious Few and PR agency #TheBridgeAgency, launched Nescafé’s new campaign featuring K-pop star Cha Eun-woo to promote its Korean Café Collection in Hong Kong and Macau. Using a compelling campaign strategy with Cha speaking Cantonese made for an impactful ambassador to target Nescafé’s younger audiences in OOH ads at MTR stations and other digital platforms. The campaign not only utilised YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, but also KOLs and micro-influencers to drive word-of-mouth, focusing on the product’s grab-and-go convenience. 🎉 We are proud to share that OMD Hong Kong's "Raise Your Arches" campaign for McDonald's Hong Kong won Silver in Best Creative Visual at the Best of the Best Awards by MTR Corporation Limited 香港鐵路有限公司 and JCDecaux Transport Hong Kong! To attract Gen Z, McDonald's launched "Raise Your Arches" globally, a social movement promoting self-expression. Hong Kong was the first Asian market to localise the global campaign through a series of activations from OOH to social media. The striking OOH placement at Causeway Bay MTR station covered the full length of the escalator for maximum visibility. Its vibrant colours and dynamic design captured consumers' attention and transformed a mundane commute into an engaging visual experience. Causeway Bay MTR station was chosen due to its high foot traffic and popularity among Hong Kong youths, which aligns with the brand's target audience. How can brands in Hong Kong leverage the Olympics despite the games being held in Paris? It is common for brands to appoint athletes as ambassadors to uplift the brand’s image and build consumer recall. Some brands that have done so include Cathay Pacific with swimmer Siobhan Haughey.
