This January, we had the opportunity to connect with leading experts from Croatia and Norway at the Autonomous Maritime Systems Conference in Rijeka. Our Technical Director, Aleksandar Vuković, joined industry experts to discuss the future of autonomous and green maritime transportation. ⚓ Key topics covered at the conference: ✅Regulatory frameworks for integrating smart maritime technologies ✅How port authorities can support the transition to autonomous vessels ✅The present and future of autonomous systems in the Adriatic ✅Technological developments transforming regional maritime traffic We also welcomed a Norwegian delegation through the AGATI initiative, strengthening international partnerships and exploring new ways to collaborate on sustainable maritime technologies. Meet Jan, our talented Erasmus+ participant, who is bringing fresh energy and innovation to Maritime Center of Excellence. 💡 He’s working on ship object detection, a key part of our efforts to develop a smarter and more efficient marina. Using computer vision, Jan is helping to improve real-time vessel detection, tracking, and automation, making marina operations safer and more seamless. At the end of last year, we proudly launched our 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭, which will continue throughout 2025 and offer a variety of activities aimed at improving employee overall health and wellbeing. We kicked things off with the first activity — 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩. The workshop covered: 🧠 Understanding the neuroscience behind mindfulness and how it supports emotional regulation 🌱 How mindfulness can improve focus, communication, and resilience 💡 Mindfulness techniques to manage everyday challenges and emotional reactions A special thanks to our collaborating partner Integra znanja d.o.o., for their support in providing expert lectures, and to our mindfulness lecturer, Ines Dosen, for guiding us through this session. Our Christmas Party on December 13th was filled with laughter, unforgettable moments, karaoke performances, and, of course, plenty of sparkle. ✨ Nights like this are the perfect way to take a break, reflect on the year, and enjoy time together while appreciating everything we’ve accomplished. On December 4th, our colleagues and their children gathered to enjoy kids play: The Happy Little House at the City Puppet Theatre in Rijeka. This rhyming monodrama, inspired by a true story, celebrates Croatia’s smallest library, founded in 1936 in Kuti (Gorski kotar). 🎭 The play emphasized the power of books, the joy of reading, and the importance of community and determination. After the play, Santa Claus surprised the kids with gifts, and a photographer was there to capture every precious moment, making it a night to remember. 🎁 This evening was a wonderful way to start the celebration of the holiday season and inspire younger generations.
