AmCham's Healthcare Committee took an energetic dive into fall activities with an insightful meeting on September 2. The Committee discussed key priorities and plans for the second half of the year. Additionally, Vanda Galambos, Health Policy Center Lead at Roche, officially assumed the role of Committee Chair, succeeding Etelka Dobi, Government Affairs & Patient Advocacy Lead at J&J Innovative Medicine. We’d like to congratulate Vanda once again and wish her great success in leading the Committee. We’d also like to extend our thanks to Etelka, who has been Chair since the Committee’s re-establishment and played a key role in its growth through her dedicated leadership. Having joined our Board as of January 2024, Etelka will continue to contribute her valuable insights to AmCham's activities as a board member while also remaining actively involved in the Committee’s work. Education has always been on our agenda. On AmCham’s anniversary, we asked Edit Bencsik, our board member, what motivated her to participate in AmCham’s efforts for fostering modern #education. “When we talk about business and what success is, it's crucial to see what's beyond, what impact our business has on society. Therefore, contributing to #diversity and to an efficient, modern education has always been among my personal and professional priorities. This is what pushed me to play a significant role in AmCham’s flagship initiative for students, the Career Orientation Program by visiting numerous secondary schools giving classes and promoting #STEM studies. I've also met academic professionals to share perspectives and advance business involvement. I feel lucky and grateful for the opportunity to be a member of such a driven business community and contribute to our shared goals with AmCham.
