🙌 Our Senior Investment Manager, YE Xi, Clive, moderated a session at NEXUS Global – Asia featuring Yuni Yunseong C. from terratai, Tu Ngo from Touchstone Partners, and Anuj Sharma from ALSiSAR IMPACT. Titled “Honest Confessions of Funders,” the panel covered topics ranging from personal stories to impact-washing and stereotypes and biases in investing. We learned many new things, including: 1️⃣ Impact investment is a wide spectrum. Understanding the priorities of different impact investors in partnerships or fundraising is paramount. 2️⃣ Impact washing is real. You need to speak with people to uncover the truth. 3️⃣ Investors have their biases. Entrepreneurs should be open to challenge some of these biases. 👏 Congratulations to Abbie Jung-Harada for bringing close to 100 second-gen business owners, impact investors, philanthropists, and change makers to the event held in Bintan Island, Indonesia, and for curating a safe space for reflections, connections, and collaborations. #WeAreNEXUS #impactinvesting
