Welcoming the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine to Bia Energy! Last week, we were delighted to host representatives from Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine at Bia Energy for a guided tour of our anaerobic digestion plant. Stephen Nolan, our Technical Lead, and Jamie O’Rourke led the visit, providing insights into our process and demonstrating how we transform food waste into renewable energy and nutrient-rich biofertiliser. This visit was a valuable opportunity to showcase the role of anaerobic digestion in waste reduction, Ireland’s circular economy, and compliance with environmental and agricultural regulations. At Bia Energy, we are committed to setting the standard for sustainability, ensuring our operations meet the highest ethical and regulatory standards while supporting the transition to clean energy. A big thank you to the Department of Agriculture for their interest and engagement. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to advance sustainability and responsible waste management! #anaerobicdigestion #AD #renewableenergy #BiaEnergy #GasNetworksIreland #Biomethane #wastetoenergy #organicfertiliser
