Ecological Building Systems was set up in Athboy, County Meath in 2000, the UK division was established in 2007 and is based near Carlisle in Cumbria. Through strong relationships with European partners, the first products imported were the Pro Clima range of airtight and windtight building products. The company went on to establish itself as sole importers of some of the highest performing natural insulations available on the market. Ecological Building Systems promote a 'Fabric First' approach to building design with in-depth technical support, championing the use of more natural materials to optimise building performance and durability. What an incredible transformation on Room to Improve Sunday night! It was truly heartwarming to see so many trades come together to turn an old Victorian house into four modern self-contained pods for the families of those undergoing treatment for cystic fibrosis. It was no easy feat to bring the building to modern standards without losing its original charm and character. We were honoured to do our part with the supply of #ProClima airtight tapes, #Diathonite insulating plaster and #Auro breathable paints. This was an incredible achievement by Julian Benson, Dermot Bannon and all involved.
