Nominated for an Irish Concrete Society Award, the Dublin Port Tolka Estuary Greenway project is a dedicated cycle and pedestrian route along the northern perimeter of the Port overlooking the Tolka Estuary.     The Greenway is a transformative public amenity that opens access to Dublin’s Port featuring Ready Mix Concrete from our Concrete Products & Aggregates division. This ambitious design, with its concrete walls featuring a board-marked finish to create a natural woodgrain texture on the exposed concrete, demonstrates the potential of concrete to combine both durability and functionality with aesthetic appeal. The Irish Concrete Federation & ICCM held the Concrete & Quarry Industry Safety Conference in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise, on the 27th of February 2025.     The seminar was well attended by the Kilsaran H&S Team and Senior Management, and they found the day to be very informative and seminar covered a wide variety of topics for the large attendance.     Kilsaran assisted on the day and presented on the following topic “Kilsaran Vehicle Safety Awareness” and how Kilsaran are driving safety forward in the organisation.      #kilsaran #ideastakingshape #GoalZero #ThinkSafe #WorkSafe #HomeSafe    

Kilsaran is proud to have played a pivotal role in the Carrigtwohill Schools Campus project. A significant endeavour by the Department of Education that serves over 2,000 students, this project has been shortlisted in the building category for an Irish Concrete Society award at the end of March. Our dedicated teams across various business units came together to ensure the success of this major educational development. Kilsaran and Ecocem Ireland are pleased to announce a new 3-year Supply Agreement. The multiannual agreement for low-carbon Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag (GGBS) provides a security of supply required to meet rising demand for low carbon concrete products in the Irish market. Commenting, Sally Anne Sherry, Ecocem’s Managing Director for UK & Ireland, said: “Collaboration across the supply chain is critical to delivering effective climate action and reducing embodied carbon in the built environment, with cement alone accounting for 5% of Ireland’s national emissions. GGBS is a high-performance, low carbon alternative to traditional cement, and it has an important role to play in the immediate reduction of carbon in construction. Ecocem has capacity to meet the growing demand in the Irish market for sustainable building materials in the years ahead and we are delighted to provide security of supply to Kilsaran, whom we have successfully partnered with for over 20 years.” Commenting, Derry Mckeown, Co-CEO of Kilsaran, said: “We are delighted to further solidify our partnership with Ecocem through this new supply agreement. The use of GGBS aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability and innovation in the construction industry.
