Life at KSNPM | Guest Lecture at Queen's University Belfast!   Recently, KSN Project Management Associate Director Sean Farrell and Senior Project Manager James Doggart had the privilege of providing a guest lecture on “Importance of Cost Planning and Control for Project Managers and The Use of Emerging Technologies for Managing Costs on Construction Projects” to Construction Project Management Masters students.   At KSNPM we believe that providing our insights on industry practices will help to better equip the next generation of Construction Project Managers. It was an absolute pleasure to engage with the students and we were truly impressed by the enthusiasm and curiosity of the students. Life at KSNPM | Guest Lecture at South East Technological University!   Recently, KSN Project Management Senior Quantity Surveyor Conor Harris and Project Manager Pete Somers had the privilege of visiting the South East Technological University in Waterford to share insights on the critical topic of innovative technology by discussing and demonstrating a Matterport 3D scanner with fourth year Construction Management, Quantity Surveying and Civil Engineering students.   At KSNPM, we believe that innovating and striving for better is a key to success within the industry. It was an absolute pleasure to engage with the students and faculty of SETU to discuss strategies, challenges, and best practices in this ever-evolving field. KSNPM had a fantastic time exhibiting at The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Student Challenge and Construction Conference on February 27th! It was great to connect with students, professionals, and industry leaders throughout the day. KSN Project Management recently hosted a dedicated SEN Conference at the Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan, bringing together all the SEN Project Managers to review lessons learned from the 2023 & 2024 SEN programme. The event was structured around best practices, open-table discussions, and in-depth case studies from projects delivered over the past 2 years. Facilitated by David Garry, Hugh Garrett, Scott Broderick, Andrew O'Malley, Ryan Mulvaney & Rob Davey the workshops provided a platform for collaborative knowledge sharing, allowing the Project Managers to reflect on challenges, successes, and opportunities for improvement. Last week, the KSN Project Management Team attended CPAC Modular’s CPD event at the first permanent modular-built school in Kishoge, Co. Dublin. The event featured a technical presentation on the benefits of modular construction and smart technology integration for post-construction monitoring, complemented by a virtual headset demonstration and a live site walk.
