What a great day today to be at Business Post The Innovators Festival at The Foundry Google Ireland. The whole day was amazing just a few highlights from me. Sarah O'Neill welcomed us to start the day with introduction by Charlie Taylor and Jessie Collins Mark Little kicked the day off with a super keynote speech and really inspiring and set the tone for the entire day. The first panel of Rosanne Longmore, Niall Dunne and Anna-Marie Turley was insightful into the successful entrepreneurs staying ahead of the curve and how Enterprise Ireland is one of the largest investors in startups in the world. Clyde Carroll speaking about Event Management and how it can be important to be constantly innovating. The day ended with Jack Pierse telling us about his story and his new company HappyStack 🥞 definitely one to watch. It was great to represent Sandyford Business District at this event as we strive to make Sandyford a premier innovation district. #innovation #innovatorsfestival

What a powerful and inspirational event, celebrating International Women's Day. #IWD Thank you to everyone for coming today and supporting a much needed initiative #IWD We partnered with Mastercard to bring this event together. We hosted the event in The Pavilion in Leopardstown Racecourse #AccelerateAction Cathaoirleach Jim O'Leary opened the event, followed by Ger Corbett CEO of Sandyford Business District then we heard from Sabrina Staunton of Mastercard. Our first panel, with a national and international approach, was expertly moderated by Maire Hunt of Technology Ireland DIGITAL Skillnet with Katharine Byrne of BDO Ireland, Paul Sweetman of American Chamber of Commerce Ireland and Deputy Ambassador Saara Heinola of Embassy of Finland in Ireland delivering their expert views. Our second panel, again moderated by Maire Hunt made for great insights from Deirdre Moore of AIB, Suzanne Dolan of Covalen and Denise Cullen of Enterprise Solutions. Here are some key outputs: Progress Has Been Made, But We Need to Move Faster⏩: While strides have been made, challenges like equal pay, representation, and access to opportunities are still ongoing. Take Immediate Action🔥: It’s time to stop talking and start doing. Each of us can make a difference in our workplaces, communities, and beyond. Empower & Amplify Women💪: Mentorship, advocacy, and leadership can be game-changers. Let’s ensure women’s voices are heard and their contributions are recognized. Hold Systems Accountable⚖️: Looking at other societies and countries demand policies that ensure we have what we need Drive Change Through Every Action🚀: Supporting women-owned businesses, promoting inclusive hiring, and challenging biases — every action counts! Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to gather in the district 💫 Key for me Today was if one person Put your hand on someone’s shoulder and help lift them up or push them forward — together, we truly are better in a world where everyone thrives and belongs 🌍❤️ Thank you so much to our AV partner Leo McBride of DigitalX Ireland Ltd. We would also like to extend our gratitude to all our exhibitors who gave their time AIB, Irish Management Institute, The Down Syndrome Centre, Women's Fitness, Roxana Wegner and Digital Revolution.
