A six-fold surge in European debt investment for cleantech projects is perfectly timed for this month's EU introduction of Net-Zero Industry Act. Also, great to see Europe closing the gap with the US as state funding and venture capital investing picks up the pace. #NZIA #cleantech #decarbonisation https://lnkd.in/e_8VzCjY

Last week I attended Demo North in Luleå. It was an inspiring few days in the North of Sweden discussing some of the most ambitious construction and engineering projects of our time underway in Norrbotten and the surrounding areas being undertaken by H2 Green Steel, LKAB, SSAB, Talga Group, Vattenfall to name a few. These projects require massive collaboration between the surrounding communities, government agencies, construction contractors, and investors. What's evident is that there's a huge collective desire to make the green transition happen, and fast, in Northern Sweden which will have a multi-generational effect for us all in the mission to shift from traditional industries' fossil fuel usage. What's also evident is the need to attract and retain talent to build and eventually maintain these green mega projects. We were lucky to attend a talk with Henrik Henriksson from H2 Green Steel, the key figure and catalyst of the green transition worldwide, where he spoke about funding their mega project in Boden. As part of an Irish delegation of companies who attended throughout the week hosted by the Enterprise Ireland Nordics team, Luis Faria, Susan B. and James Fox, we had the opportunity to visit Northvolt Ett in Skelleftea to present and showcase what the Irish construction supply chain could offer Northvolt as well as presenting SilverBack's value-add and experience in mobilising scarce talent to a project such as this. It was great to be given the opportunity to do so and also to be able to see how our fellow Irish companies are helping the green transition in Europe through their involvement in pioneering green/cleantech construction projects. We are attending Demo North Summit 2024 next week in Luleå represented by Ciarán Carr our Head of Recruitment. The North of Sweden has been a second home for us for over 10 years and we're looking to build on our presence in the region, through meeting some new and old faces over the 3 days. We're looking forward to in-depth discussions about talent scarcity, mobilization of personnel, and being a recruitment partner to the companies delivering pioneering green and clean tech projects in this beautiful part of Sweden. SilverBack will attend the event as part of a group of Irish companies in attendance through Enterprise Ireland Nordics. Please reach out to Ciarán Carr over the coming days ahead of the event to arrange a meeting to discuss talent mobility and acquisition. #demonorthsummit2024 #SilverBack #recruitment #talentscarcity #enterpriseireland #lulea #skelleftea #boden #talentaquisition #mobilsation #greentech #cleantech #gigafactory #decarbonisation #northernsweden #vasterbotten #norrbotten

Enterprise Ireland Warsaw's Tonia Spollen and Bartosz Siepracki will be participating tomorrow in #DCNWarsaw2024, the largest #datacenter event in CEE with 850 participants and an agenda covering technology, sustainability, artificial intelligence, modular design and other aspects of the key sector that drives digital economy. We're delighted that PM Group (who are one of the Associate sponsors of #DCNWarsaw), RKD, HOLDEN Installations Ltd., SilverBack, Ventac will join us there too sharing their expertise and connecting with the Polish and international data center sector representatives. The Irish high-tech construction cluster of over 100 companies (including well-known names on the Polish market such as PM Group, Mercury and Winthrop Technologies) goes from strength to strength delivering most advanced projects in data centers, chip manufacturing, EV batteries or pharmaceutical sector. These Irish companies provide more than just expertise with the current trend toward hyperscale data centers and co-locations—they also provide speed. Their reputation stems from on-time delivery and adaptability to handle even the most difficult jobs. They adhere to the strictest health and safety regulations, which lowers the possibility of harming their clients' reputations. Now that Poland has become an important player in digital infrastructure with the likes of Microsoft, Data4 Group, Vantage Data Centers, Equinix EMEA, and home-grown operators such as Atman, Beyond.pl, Polcom investing in large campuses, we see more and more connections made between Irish and Polish companies in data center design and construction. Massive kudos also goes to PLDCA - Stowarzyszenie Polish Data Center Association who are not even a 1-year old organization but have already shown fantastic skills in bringing the industry together and communicating the importance of data center sector for the digital transformation of Polish, and indeed - EU economy. If you’d like to meet us or the Irish companies’ representatives: Pawel Wlodarczak, Brian Scully, Marta Babiarz, Katarzyna Ciepichał, Jarek Czernek, Michał Czyżewski at the #DCNWarsaw2024, do visit us at the stand no. 38, we’ll be there to discuss Irish high-tech construction offering and its synergies with the Polish market.

W dniu dzisiejszym mija moja druga rocznica pracy w SilverBack. #2lata #rocznica #praca #SilverBackPolska #2years #anniversary #work
The stock market has never seen expectations for a single industry change by $1 trillion in a matter of months. Real dollars and real customers are moving but do projections for data centre construction need to catch up? https://lnkd.in/eDNzcMc4

Yesterday, we hosted a webinar centred around opportunities for the Irish supply chain in the construction of battery gigafactories in the Nordics. This session marked the culmination of a research project, commissioned by Enterprise Ireland exploring the potential for Irish companies in this rapidly growing industry. A big thank you to our panelists, Jonathan Tinworth and Paddy Lyons who brought first hand experience of, and insight into the state of play in Europe's battery market. For Enterprise Ireland client companies targeting the sector, or interested in learning more, feel free to reach out to Luis Faria and Karin Angus for more info.
Last month's Romanian Unification Day gave us a chance to reflect on how demographic, technology and supply chain risks have turned into opportunities for Japan, and could do the same for Romania and 30% of our workforce too https://lnkd.in/e3rMezmN
