TechFoundHer lifts off in USA - organisation. was founded by County Down entrepreneur Máirín Murray who is on a mission to unlock the potential of women to start and lead tech companies for the benefit of the Irish economy delivering programmes to build tech and product skills whilst advocating for entrepreneur equality and system change. Earlier this year Máirin worked with LA producer Catherine Gray of award winning movie Show Her The Money, to premiere the groundbreaking documentary in Dublin and Belfast as part of the TechFoundHer roadshow. Now it's TechFounderHer’s turn to cross the Atlantic and head stateside. Máirín Murray said: “The opportunity to bring TechFoundHer to America is a fantastic endorsement for our organisation and recognition of the hard work and dedication of our wider team and network. “Being able to strengthen our work locally by reaching out globally is an important part of the work we do behind the scenes.” Following the success of the Irish tour, producer Catherine Gray invited Máirin to launch TechFoundHer in LA by co-hosting their InnovateHer Too event earlier this month. The round table event brought together a group of thought leaders, tech entrepreneurs and advocates to tackle a critical issue in the global tech ecosystem: the underrepresentation of women starting and leading tech companies. TechFoundHer lifts off in LA hosting a RoundTable breakfast event with tech and investment leaders to address the chronic shortage of women starting and leading tech companies. It was a magical day and in the city of light and stars anything can happen! (Yes that is indeed Kevin Costner)! This is our time! It's time for a Ta Da moment. Low code no code tools means that women entrepreneurs form non tech backgrounds can accelerate progress with the tech products! There's a massive opportunity to creating knowledge and skills exchanges between STEM professionals and women founders. There is a global coalition forming of women disruptors and allies who want change and want it fast! We're calling time on the conscious bias of so much tech startup culture and investors!! Earlier in the week, the TechFoundHer panel at the Women in STEM Summit in Belfast delivered some powerful takeaways on innovation, inclusion, and breaking barriers in the tech industry. 💡 Here are a few highlights from the discussion: Khaula Bhutta, CEO & Founder, Inclusive Law, stressed the importance of improving access to justice for marginalised communities and highlighted how technology can streamline legal services, making them more accessible and trauma-informed. Charmaine McConville, COO & Co-founder, PLUGINMOVE, discussed the critical role of technology in ensuring women's safety and enhancing everyday convenience with their portable charging solutions, especially in high-footfall areas. Sarah Fliessbach, CEO & Founder, Shareclub, focused on sustainability, sharing how her company helps organisations reduce plastic waste through reusable cups and track their environmental impact using tech-driven data insights. Máirín Murray, CEO, TechFoundHer, emphasised that women need to be at the forefront of tech innovation. She encouraged aspiring female founders to embrace tech literacy and make bold moves to lead their own companies, underlining the need for more women-led tech startups.
