📍Erne Campus Unilin Insulation’s vast range of insulation products for walls, floors and roofs helped achieve trio of ‘firsts’. With record-breaking energy efficiency, achieving Passive House Premium standards as well as being the world’s largest building of ‘premium’ status. the 8,200 m2 project was also the first UK building to achieve both Passive House Premium and BREEAM outstanding accreditations. Designed by Hamilton Architects, the campus was constructed by local firm Tracey Brothers Ltd and accommodates over 800 full-time students, 2000 part-time students and 120 staff. United Nations World Wildlife Day (WWD) is celebrated every year on the 3rd of March to celebrate wild animals and plants. Every year, The United Nations recognize the unique roles and contributions of wildlife to people and the planet. We recognise this involvement has the power to bring positive change to our immediate locality and to every community in which we operate. We actively promote a culture that fosters and supports volunteering and active participation. We work within our sustainability pillars; Product, Place, People and Partnership allowing all avenues to be explored with the goal to operate on a sustainability first mindset. This includes investing in conservation and rewilding efforts. Martyn Randall, Specification Manager works with Ubuntu Wildlife Trust. Since 2015, Ubuntu have been working hard to protect and rehabitate one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet. Maputaland is part of a world biodiversity hotspot and a centre of endemism. At Unilin, we offer regular support to the charity, whether it is for the Rhino Orphanage, Anti-Poaching Unit, The kids Social Rugby Club or the Ubuntu Shining Stars AFC. Closer to home, we have we introduced four hives to our Navan site, beginning in 2022 as part of our 8,000m2 biodiversity garden project which is committed to improving biodiversity within our communities.
