📈 📊 🪴 Smart plant sensors are an impressive technology that provides an insight into the health of house plants through monitoring of the plant's soil and environment. Using the latest sensor technology, plant sensors communicate with our smartphones, allowing us to make smart decisions about plant care while improving our gardening skills and knowledge. Thanks to Aileen Drohan from the Walton Institute who led a really informative plant sensor workshop in Central Library with support from Europe Direct, Waterford and Library staff. Participants received their own sensor monitor and guidance in how to monitor their house plant’s health, from air temperature to sunlight intensity, soil moisture and fertility. #LibraryMakerspace
