Today we pause to mark one year since this terrible chapter in history began. The lives lost, those we are still missing, those whose homes were destroyed or remain under fire and are displaced, and the surge of hate around the world. And we are also here to say: when we stand together, there is no room for despair. #AmYisraelChai

The connection between the Canadian Jewish community and Israel is stronger than ever. Last week our Chairman of the Board of Governors, Mark Wilf, visited Canada, launching the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver's annual campaign and expressing deep gratitude for the community’s unwavering support. He met with Or and Lihi, two young Jewish Agency Shlichot from northern Israel, and thanked local donors for raising $21 million (CAD) for the Israel Emergency Campaign since October.

After enduring the trauma of war, over 1,000 Israeli teens found respite and connection at Jewish summer camps across North America and around the world through our Campers2Gether initiative. With support from Mosaic United, Foundation for Jewish Camp and Jewish Federations of North America, the program provided a safe space for healing, rebuilding confidence, and fostering bonds with their peers this summer. Shlomit, a teacher from the Gaza envelope, shared her powerful experience as a counselor at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires, in Jewish News Syndicate: https://lnkd.in/e-KZHTfE
