What an evening for the Israeli FinTech ecosystem!! 🚀 Over 150 CEOs, founders, and leaders of Israel’s FinTech ecosystem gathered yesterday at Viola’s FinTech Predictions Summit to hear about what’s next for FinTech. Alex Shmulovich shared new research about the trends driving FinTech globally and the state of the Israeli ecosystem. Noam Inbar, Partner at Viola FinTech, discussed 2025 predictions with Eynat Guez, CEO and Co-Founder of Papaya Global, Elad Schaffer, CEO and Co-Founder of Faye, and Adi Hoorvitch Lavi, PhD, VP of growth at Poalim Tech. We ended with a super interesting discussion about growth and in-organic growth led by two FinTech giants - Arik Shtilman, CEO and Co-Founder of Rapyd, and Chen Amit, CEO and Co-Founder of Tipalti, who also spoke about their liquidity strategy (stay private or go public), moderated by Viola Ventures GP Omry Ben David. We are grateful for our partners at the event, Poalim Tech, GUTS—Harel Innovation Hub (Idan Tamir), and Google for Startups Israel (Yuval Passov), who hosted us. We remain super bullish about the opportunities in the FinTech ecosystem and especially about the potential of Israel’s founders to continue growing global outliers in this space. Our 2024-5 report will go live soon – so stay tuned! 🚀

15 Tier-One CISOs, One Incredible Discussion in NYC 🚀
Last week in NYC, we brought together four of our cybersecurity portfolio companies and a fantastic group of CISOs from leading US enterprises for a Cyber breakfast. The discussions highlighted the mutual value of connecting CISOs and startup founders. CISOs gain early access to innovative solutions, practical tools to address emerging threats, and insights that help them stay ahead of the curve. Founders benefit from critical feedback, real-world perspectives, and opportunities to build partnerships with their first design partners and customers. It’s always rewarding to see these collaborations driving progress in cybersecurity and we were happy to bring our portfolio companies to the table nsKnox, CardinalOps, and PlainID - The Identity Security Company and some in stealth mode. A special thanks to Alex Dalay, IDB Bank's CISO, who hosted us and shared his extensive experience, and to Hilly Rejwan Sorek, our VP of BD, who is leading Viola's CISO & CIO forums and bridging global corporates' strategic needs with Israeli startup needs. In this candid 1:1, Elad sits down with Omry Ben David, GP at Viola Ventures (and the lead investor in Faye's seed round), to share his journey, the highs and lows of each approach, and the lessons every founder should know before making the call. 🎥 Watch now

Matzov Entrepreneurship Forum, Israel's promising Cyber talent, gathered yesterday to learn from our Partner Lior Akavia and @Michael Dolinsky, both unit graduates and two-time founders of successful startups. Here are some of their tips: * 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭-𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝: Avoid falling in love with your product during the ideation phase if the market says otherwise. Your solution must address a real problem that resonates with CISOs and ranks high on their priority list—something they're genuinely willing to invest in. * 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐎𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: Before hiring SDRs, become your own salesperson. This hands-on approach will teach you invaluable lessons about how prospects perceive your product, refine your pitch, and ensure you're solving the right problem 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭—𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧'𝐭 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞.
