Fire Drill at GD Goenka World School: A Commitment to Safety At GD Goenka World School, the safety of our students and staff remains our utmost priority. Recently, we conducted a fire drill to reinforce emergency preparedness and safety protocols. The exercise included a mock rescue operation and a fire extinguishing demonstration, providing a comprehensive opportunity to practise swift evacuation, maintain composure under pressure, and prioritise safety awareness. The entire building was evacuated successfully in an impressive 2 minutes and 15 seconds, demonstrating the readiness and coordination of our team. With active participation from students and staff, the drill was executed seamlessly, reaffirming our commitment to providing a secure and safe learning environment. Recognizing Outstanding Achievements at Yale MUN x GD Goenka!    We are delighted to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our students who brought laurels to GD Goenka World School at the prestigious Yale MUN x GD Goenka   UNCSW Honourable Mention Aishani Tripathi (XI B) – Delegate of the United Kingdom, Aishani impressed the committee with her eloquent speeches, thorough research, and authenticity in representing UK policy. Her ability to tackle challenging questions with intellect and poise earned her well-deserved applause.      UNCSW Verbal Commendation Anusha Neogi (XIA) – Delegate of France, Anusha’s insightful questions shaped the flow of the debate, and her respectful tone left a lasting impression on the committee.     DISEC Verbal Commendation Prakruti Saraswat(XII-B) – Delegate of Japan, Prakruti showcased her analytical skills and command over global issues, contributing meaningfully to committee discussions. GD Goenka World School proudly celebrated its 21st Founder’s Day, honouring the rich legacy and visionary spirit of its founders. The event was graced by the school Principal, Mrs. Sonali Sinha, whose heartfelt address reaffirmed the enduring vision that continues to guide the school community. Adding to the special occasion was Yukti Bhardwaj, an accomplished alumna from the IBDP Class of 2016, who shared her inspiring journey and expressed deep gratitude to the institution. The School Head Girl, Srishti Maheshwari, reflected on her decade-long journey at GD Goenka and how the school shaped her into a confident leader. One of the founding teachers Mr. Amit Chand, who has been with the school for 19 years, expressed gratitude to the management, colleagues, and students for making his journey one of continuous learning and growth. The celebration was brought to life with vibrant student performances, including captivating dances and soulful musical renditions, showcasing the diverse talents nurtured at the school. A Transformative Experience at Yale MUN x GD Goenka Conference 2024: Leadership, Learning, and Global Engagement This weekend, young diplomats from around the country gathered at GD Goenka World School for the Yale MUN x GD Goenka Conference 2024, engaging in vibrant debates, thought-provoking discussions, and collaborative problem-solving. The event highlighted unwavering dedication, in-depth research, and dynamic exchanges. We were honoured to welcome Mr. Prateek Kanwal a distinguished public policy and development consultant, as our chief guest. His insightful address on globalisation inspired all in attendance, and he rightly pointed out, “This is such a great training ground for the leaders of tomorrow.” The ceremony also included the unveiling of the Goenka Buzz, the Yale MUN at GD Goenka 2024 newsletter, which captured the essence of the conference beautifully. The chairs of various committees, including COPUOS, CRISIS, WHO, UNCSW, IP, DISEC, UNFCCC, and UNESCO, shared their reflections, celebrating the remarkable efforts of the delegates. The event concluded with the announcement of results by Ms. Poppy Stowell-Evans, the esteemed Secretary-General, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks from our MUN Coordinator, Ms. Monika Ohri. The Yale MUN x GD Goenka Conference 2024 reminded us that true success lies not just in the destination but in the journey—one of continuous growth, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence.
