Beijing-based Moguang Studio’s Treehouse in Hubei, China, designed for the Lost Villa . Ginkgo Valley Hotel, blends geometry with nature. Elevated among ginkgo trees, it serves as a suspended retreat where light, shadow and architectural form interact. The design honours the landscape, using sustainable materials and creating a harmonious dialogue with the forest. Gelephu International Airport, designed by renowned Danish practice Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in collaboration with aviation engineering firm NACO (Netherlands Airport Consultants), combines Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage with contemporary architecture. Set to open in 2029, the airport will play a key role in the Gelephu Mindfulness City project, boosting the economy and national connectivity. Pooja Khairnar’s Rural Library in Kochargaon, Maharashtra, designed in collaboration with Round Table India, offers an open, flexible space that promotes learning and community engagement. Built on a site where an old collapsed Aanganwadi previously rested, the library, situated close to the main temple complex of the village, appends the experience of the villagers by temporally expanding the deemed cultural centre of Kochargaon with a flexible central courtyard and appendaged study rooms.
